The closed beta starts next month, open beta in August, and the full release will be in an update in October.

I think for this guys next experiment he should leave his PS3 on running Folding@Home for the same amount of time. Imagine 1,440 hours of cancer fighting goodness.

[QUOTE="pimperjones"]Okay so both digital pad and analog pad works right? I heard from somewhere that only the analog works, please confirm that both the digital pad and analog pad works. Thanks

Just tried it out on Resistance and everything works perfectly I can move, shoot, turn on the flashlight, cycle grenades eveything. I made sure to use every button on the pad and it checks out 100%.

[QUOTE="Jamh83"]It'll work on PS3 games, but not PS2 games. Although if my guess is right, if it's the switching from Cell to EE that shuts off the controllers, it should work for PAL PS3s.

so what was that they removed? and what does it do?

IF my guess is right, it's the PS2 chip inside US/Japanese PS3s that causes us to lose the signal from our controllers and then have to hit the PS Button when the PS2 games start up. Since that's being handled by software via Cell in the PAL PS3s it shouldn't happen. If I'm wrong then we'll all just have to wait for adapters with PS Buttons then. :)

I guess this should put all those fears of people's PS3s getting viruses to rest. Good find. :)

[QUOTE="Hulabaloza"]Read the quote....

If we fail, it is because we positioned PS3 as the Mercedes of the video game field.

He's not calling it a Mercedes as a compliment. He's saying they bloated the console - put too much into it and made it too expensive for most people's taste.

Actually, he is using it as a compliment. Merecedes are known for higher performance and quality at a higher expense and that's exactly what the PS3 is. This was probably in response to some stupid "What if" question that the interviewer asked about due to the "slow" sales in the US. :roll:

Maybe they're too focused on getting new information on the PS3 than coming up with silly polls, unlike certain other sites....
