I voted for Zelda:MM. But wow, I can't believe that Mario RPG is leading by far. I remember way back when I first played it... I hated that game!

SPM doesn't look good to me, and that's mainly because it's so RPG-ish. If it was more of a standard platformer and not so chatty, I would probably be more interested in it. Don't get me wrong... I'm not against chatty games. I'm just against chatty Mario games. And I think the whole "paper" idea is silly also.

[QUOTE="Jason____"]Wow... I'm about ready to sell my Wii. This lack of decent games is terrible. I mean, it's either crap, ports of existing games, or rehashes of tired Nintendo titles. I have looked into SPM. I watched the videos of it, and decided that it's just not for me.

In the months leading up to the Wii's release, I was hyping it up just like everyone else. I thought that the cheaper cost of development would lead to more interesting titles. But so far, it has mostly just lead to junk. And my Wii has just been collecting dust... for about the third month straight.

Well at least the polls give me something to do with it. I could vote whether I brush my teeth before or after breakfast.Optusnet

You're still the one at fault here. You cleary didn't read up on the library. You don't buy a console for it COULD do - you buy it for the upcoming titles that appeal to you. You were impatient with getting the console.

I don't deny that I am the one at fault here. I fell for the hype, and jumped at purchasing a Wii for Zelda alone. I probably would have been wiser to get a used GameCube for that.

First, I will say that the Wii developers are being lazy. They could produce better than what they are currently giving. However, keep in mind that MHz does not directly equal graphics quality. I was surprised to learn that the Wii does not even support pixel shaders, which the original Xbox could do. Pixel shaders have been around since the GeForce 3. Honestly, if I had known this before I purchased the Wii, that would have killed my decision to purchase it.

Well I am a Wii owner. I bought it in mid December. I spent about a week playing Zelda, and after I beat it, my Wii became a dust collector. I start it up every so often to vote in the silly polls, but other than that, I never use it. The Wii seems to be best suited for "party games," which I have absolutely no interest in. I thought that the Wii's cheaper cost of development would lead to more interesting titles, but so far it seems that it's only leading to cheaper titles. I think it's game collection will end up like the Nintendo DS (which I also have collecting dust). There are a few excellent games (which are mostly first-party Nintendo games), and TONS of outright garbage (stuff that gets 6.0 reviews and lower). I point to the Rayman game as a shining example of what is wrong with the Wii. They took a great platformer, and turned it in to a... collection of mini-games. I can only hope... oh PLEASE don't let other Wii developers follow this trend.

My Wii is collecting dust also. I turn it on every few days to vote in the useless polls, but that's about it. The last time I played a VC game was a couple of weeks ago, and I haven't played an actual Wii game in months. The only Wii game I bought was Zelda, because it was the only Wii game that interested me (and still is). Unfortunanetly, the Wii seems to be a console best suited for "party games," which I have absolutely no interest in. I would go ahead and sell it, but then I might regret it if something interesting comes out in a few years. Until then, it will just collect dust. :(
