I like hitman, and for that reason I bought Splinter Cell- Double Agent. I don't like it much, mainly for the fairly linear feel so far. I may be wrong, but it seems like you have a fairly set path to go down. Still, they are quite similar.

mm, I guess. I think a German Wehrmarcht campaign would be awesome- just the normal German army. I wouldnt like being the actual Nazis though. the American Hero does irritate me, which is why I loved CoD. Americans, British, Russians. Other games seem to forget the meaning of "Allies"

Im sure the new, modern CoD will be good but unless they try to be different from all the other modern shooters it could end up being really rather familiar. Something different than the US vs some generic terrorists would be nice, for a start.

Rinbow Six Vegas- I only have 4 games and I can very happily live without Just Cause, fairly happily without Saints Row and Splinter Cell Double agent :)

I guess I am in the minority here, but I really, really am sad about this. I know people say there are lots of WW2 games out there, but thats like saying there are lots of any type of game. Its not how many there are, its how many are worth playing. Medal of Honour has yet to return to any kind of form, and CoD was by far the best, in my opinion. I still love its multiplayer today. Im not some kind of WW2 nut, but I still think that the traditional CoD had a lot to give. Not the same old advance through france (heh, rhymes) campaigns we've all seen before, but some other ones.

you really get what you pay for with PC building. Get a core 2 duo processor, or a quad core if you wish. A Geforce 800GTS/X (GTX is more expensive) would be a good bet for DX10 games, what with er, it being just about the only bet :P

a hard drive? SATA, as many RPMs as you want to pay for, as much storage as you want to pay for.

a screen? Shop around, look at amazon reviews. A screen is a screen- low response time, good picture is what you're looking for. Also a decent size of course.

£1400 is plenty to play with IMHO. I had to build my computer for £600, and I managed :)

interesting article, as said before- from an odd source :)

Im waiting for ATi to launch their cards, which may push down prices a bit and will give some more choice.

I played San Andreas, completed it and was very upset when I did. It was so much fun. Best £20 I've spent in a while.

isnt this a fairly common problem with Xbox 360 downloaded content? If you get another console you have to be signed into Live to use the stuff:

well, it will give you the ability to use DX10, which will make them look nicer, GFX card permitting of course. However there are reports of FPS drops on Vista compared to XP.
