I admit I have never been a big fan of the Unreal Engine because so many of the games that use it tend to look the same (with bland art styles and such). The idea that Epic is going to focus more on licensing their engine means we will probably see even more games that look the same.
I just wish publishers and developers would try some of the other engines that are on the market, at least then we would have more games that looked different from each other (if only slightly).
I still want to get a Wii U eventually, especially for Bayonetta 2 and games like Metroid, Zelda, and so on. However, I will probably end up getting a PS4 before I pick up a Wii U, even if that system does cost more money.
I am still hoping Nintendo decides to bundle the Wii U with Bayonetta 2. In that case I could see myself picking up the Wii U without much thought.
I would still like to play Shadow Fall regardless of the reviews. I just hope the MP is as good as it was in part 2 as I barley played the MP in the third game, it just felt different to me (not a good different though).
It is a shame that Guerrilla Games can't seem to nail single player campaigns (the most important thing for me). Both Killzone 2 and 3 had imperfect but fun campaigns so I was hoping they would finally get it right this time. Regardless, I plan to give the game a chance sometime in the future, when I finally have money to get a next gen console that is.
@freestyler_85 Not writing it off at all as I still can not wait to play it myself. I always read and watch video reviews, but I also always decide for myself what I will and will not play. I own many game that critics did not love and yet I did, an opinion is an opinion. Besides, I bought the season pass so I was going to download and play it regardless of what critics said.
@gamerno66666 I am tempted honestly, but the problem for me is that I am mostly a console gamer. Every time I have tried to play a game on my PC it has been rough. I may give it a try someday nonetheless.
@VoidSECT I have read the same comment a few times myself (System Shock 2 being better than BioShock). I wish a remake would be possible to see for myself, but I think some legal problems with rights to the series might prevent that. I may have to try it on PC one day then.
It is a shame that this DLC does not live up to any potenital it may have had. Heck, I only bought the Season Pass recently in anticipation of the Episode 1. Hopefully I will still enjoy it myself.
At the same time, Irrational Games still has an opportunity to make up for this Episode with Episode 2 if the first is legitimately disappointing. Only time will tell I guess. This is the first time I have ever purchased a Season Pass and now I am bit worried, damn.
