So ever since I started playing Starcraft 2 online I've been wanting to play some other RTS games online as well, but i'm not sure which ones still have a good online community so I wont have to wait for 30 min to find a match. Is there anybody that knows of some that would be worth looking into?

Have you tried Shogun 2 total war yet?

Never EVER buy stronghold 3, the game is like an unfinished money trap.

dsownge

I haven't tried any other total wars besides rome. The romans were the main reason why I got it. :)

And yeah, I saw that stronghold 3 got pretty crappy reviews. It's a shame, because crusaders it great.

I'd recommend Supreme Commander as well.skrat_01

The Supreme Commander games definitely look pretty awesome. Would you recommend the first or the second one?

Have you tried World in Conflict? It's not like your traditional RTS, but it's still great.Mochyc

I've done a little research about it in the past. I wasn't really sure what to think of it though. What is it exactly that makes it different from the traditional RTS?

Hey guys, I've been trying to find some other good RTS games to play in my spare time and I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations.

I already have Starcraft 1&2, Age of empires 2, Company of Heroes, Stronghold Crusaders, Homeworld, Rome Total War, and Dawn of War 1.

I was looking into getting Red Alert 2, seeing how it was so popular, but after watching some gameplay videos, all I ever saw were tankfests. Is there something that I'm missing on this one?

Hmmm...well, it looks like Im trying to decide between Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, and Supreme Commander: Forged Alliances. I think one of the biggest questions I have is how long is the average match for these games? Generally I like to play an RTS match that's going to take a little while. From some of the stuff I saw, the C&C matches seemed to be a little on the short side. Just from some of the stuff I read and saw, Supreme Commander seemed to be similar to AoE in a way and I think I'm leaning towards that one.

Hey there, I've been looking lately for a good sci-fi RTS to add to my collection but I can't decide which one to get. My favorite RTS's that I have are AoE2 and Company of Heroes so if you could suggest one with similar gameplay to those that would be awesome. My only stipulation is that I don't want to get Starcraft because I don't feel like paying Blizzard's outrageous prices and I don't have access to the internet a whole lot to play anyway. Thanks guys!

@ G-Lord: As far as the GPU thing goes, I have no idea. How would I find out if I have that or not? And yes, I did extract that file into the Gamedata folder and it didn't make any difference. :/
