FFIII is sort of hard to get into, I think FF fans will enjoy it more than newbies, it's not the best title to start the FF series on. There is lots of level grinding required and the story is "eh" like FFI and II, it's there but it's very basic and just goes along. But you can try it out, I could be wrong and you might like it. I had fun with it, but if you don't like old-school RPG gameplay with many random encounters, you will not like this.

Exactly, people who played the previous series of Final Fantasy will enjoy this game more then first timers most likely.
My thoughts exactly, and I'd even stress that it is very old school in the difficulty, random encounters, and light story.
