The best one is adobe after effects, its the best, no movie editor comes close to its powerfullness, I use it all the time. But it is complicated. Oh and theres plug ins to import maya stuff, and view it in full 3d space in after effects. great tutorials at www.videocopilot.net

[QUOTE="SSJBen"]

Vista is fairly good for normal usage. For gaming, its totally trash compared to XP... atleast for now.

2GB is preferable for Vista, 1GB is sufficient enough really.

thanks! but what do you think about macs ? they seem to be kinda cool but are they limited?

To games that is, they do everyhing like 3d modelling and video editing the same as pcs.

Mac's are the devil's doing. Mac's dont get spyware and stuff cause nobody uses em :). one more thing, Vista is ok.. Nothing really better than xp, If you can go xp do that with a dool boot.

8500GT isn't low end enough? =P

RipPistons2221

8500gt is around $90-100 and i think soon we will see a 8200 or 8300 and hopefully its going to be less than that GT!

im sorry but the 8200 and 8300 cards are OEM and will only be found in pre made PC's like HP and Dell's

you will not be able to but the 8300's 8200's and 8400's in stores. the 8500GT is Nvidia's low end.

what does oem mean? I am looking at the 4200+ x2 but it is oem not retail...what deos that mean?

OEM means that it is factory installed, like HP computers Vista Software are OEM. Original Equipment Manufacturer.

so how is an oem processor from newegg different from retail?

  Most likely means that it will come with no heatsink or thermal paste, or the fancy boxes. Its just the processor.

ROFL nice cable management did you format it and only took 127 gigs if so, get a partion tool to get the other rest of the data.
