If you don't already have one, elite is the way to go. Bigger hard drive, and it's a more sleek color! BLACK!

[QUOTE="MrMe1000"]multiplayer is the bestMauser_Loader

No

Awesome and forever memorable Single Player experince is the best

Multiplayer is just what you do to enjoy human competition (Which is fun as hell)

But things like Duke Nukem 3D and Half-Life are just "classic" expericences that I'd trade for any multiplayer

Cept, maybe Splitscreen co-op (Online co-op isnt fun, because at your houseyou can punch your friend if he kills you)

Duke 3d had the best multiplayer ever! Raining death with my RPG while flying around on my Jetpack?!?! Nothing beats that!!!

Yeah, the days of awesome single players are dwindling

The people who play mostly online are not gamers at all

Thank god for games like Half-Life 2 OB, and Black and darkness

Classic example

Halo: Awesome

Halo 2: Bleh

zidan4000

Poeple who hate online players usually suck at games and have had an episode over it.

Halo1 was better than 2, if they made anonline multiplayer for halo1 noone would play 2. Half-life lives because of multiplayer.

Any thoughts on what a real gamer is?

Well a real gamer is well rounded and enjoys playing anything that is worth playing! If a game has bad multiplayer, you don't blame the concept of multiplayer, you blame the company for being a lousy developer... if a game has a lousy storyline such as Halo 2, it's the devolopers fault for being full of themselves and thinking they can make the storyline into something laughably obsurd! Yet a real gamer sees the good part of the game and plays what they like to play! Some games are just more naturally attuned to certain aspects of the game.

agreed with you too, i hated gow MP so i gone to play another round on hardcore and insane(for achievement.

you are right no matter if there MP or not the matter that you play the nice part of the game.

and GOW was made better with it's co-op, of course I beat it about 4 times the first week I had it and got all the achievements for that so don't play the single at all anymore, except to hear baird say "They're called theron guards!"

For the record, crackdown was made 100x better with co-op... I had so many hilarious episodes kicking my friend off the top of buildings/throwing cars at him, etc... I laughed so hard it hurt on multiple occasions, that's what multiplayer is for, so you can share your crazy antics in games with others!

Multiplayer = A crutch for lazy devs nowadays. Mediocre multiplayer or even good multiplayer shouldn't excuse a poor single player experience. Games should tell stories. I want meat (Singleplayer) with my potatoes (Multiplayer). A man can't live healthily on just potatoes! Gah!Staryoshi87

Now that's something that I agree with!

Ah, The Darkness. Such a fantastic game, yet the devs decided because the protagonist had guns, the game needed multiplayer. This is the future of gaming, and it's starting to piss me off. Graw 2, R6V, Lost Planet and Gears are the only games that really needed multiplayer. Every other game was just a waste. Millennium_King

And every sports game that comes out, and anything that has feasable co-op... not to mention puzzle games that you can go head to head in, oh yeah, flight sims like crimson skies... well pretty much 90% of games!
