[QUOTE="JnWycliffe"]let's see, crappy gamepad controls or superior keyboard + mouse controls? that's a toughie...smerlus

seeing as Dead Space has RE4 type controls and re4 sucked on PC... I fail to see how PC keyboard and mouse will be superior here.

re4 didn't have mouse support originally. so i fail to see your point.

but once it did how were the controls? oh still crappy because a mouse isn't needed when the view is over the shoulder and the range of motion is very limited.

well, i can agree with keyboard & mouse control not being NECESSARY for re4, but i still don't understand how keyboard & mouse is WORSE than using a gamepad (or how keyboard & mouse controls for re4 sucked (which was a mod and not done by the developers of the game, btw)). whether it's an over the shoulder view or a first person view or a third person view, if the view follows the movement of the mouse in a properly done control scheme, i'd imagine the keyboard & mouse control is still superior to the gamepad's. whether it's needed or not is not the point. the point is that a better control scheme is available on the pc.

besides, if you think a gamepad works better for this game, then USE A GAMEPAD WITH THE PC VERSION! it's that simple.

you put a lot of thought into what you wrote, and i agree with you wholeheartedly. i'm buying sc2 mainly for the single player, and i think this move will only make the single player that much more compelling. but i'm not sure how blizzard'll be able to offer enough multiplayer content in the second and third installments of the game to entice people who are only interested in the multiplayer to buy the games. i think that's the only problem that i see with this move.

i think it would be fair if they were to sell the first installment for $50, sell the subsequent installments for $30 (or even $40), and make available any changes to the multiplayer in the second and third installments as free downloadable content for those that are only interested in multiplayer. that way, they won't have to worry about people having different versions of the multiplayer.

PhoenixVenom

i know what the requirments were i just found it hard to beleive that it needs to be that high. i mean it not like its cod4 or crysis graphics. its a cartoony point and click game for the most part i just couldnt believe u need a pentium III to run it

minimum requirements for king's quest 7 (1994):

486/25 or better with 8 MB RAM
DOS 5.0 or newer, or Windows 3.1 or newer
SVGA 256-color graphics
Sound card with DAC
2X CD ROM drive
5 MB hard disk space

not sure what makes the requirements for the collection higher.

I heard Blizzard was planning it to be $40 for each one....

But apparently, its only because each one is massive in size....they said like 40-60 missions for each one.

crazymaghie123

when i read the top part ($40), i first thought, "$120-30 for the whole thing? crazy!!!!' then, when i read that it'll be 40-60 missions each, i thought, "i wants it!!!!!"

****, i'll pay $200 for all three.

I think they will give us enough content to warrant whatever price the games will be offered for.

agreed.
