When i say "i feel you" i completly mean it. Recent games have very weak and untalented level design. Its like they cant be bothered with nice buildings and enviroments and make generic stuff with hd textures and prop objects. thats what sells, I call it console style graphics. Maybe thats not fair, but these kind of graphics are technically not really all that impressive but make for screenshots that can fool people easily. To me dragon age looks way better than mass effect, technically speaking they don't even compare but alot of people will insist mass effect looks way better. I dont get whats so nice about high res textures when the world just seems flat robotic and uninteresting. whats interesting is that even though i loved both mass effect 1 and 2, i found that the sense of exploration for me isn't what i had hoped it would be. it feels more like when you are supposedly exploring a whole new planet, you are actually just exploring a small instanced corridor on it. with a game like mass effect i was kind of hoping for a better sense of exploration and open level design. yet to play dragon age but i downloaded it yesterday, needless to say im excited.[QUOTE="dakan45"][QUOTE="TerrorRizzing"] ue3 is very limited in that sense, big shiny textures but never usually that much to look at. Id rather look at kotor or guild wars, those games are beautiful even without mega textures.TerrorRizzing

[QUOTE="millerlight89"]It is so sad to see that people can not be thankful for anything these days.True_Sounds
There's nothing to be thankful for in economics, it's all business and marketing tactics. I can't believe you think EA is doing this for their customers, so naive.
its called a win-win situation, where EA makes bank from the sales and we get great games on the cheap. i think we can be thankful for thatSucks for you :( It was $10. Tomorrow is Dragon Age day. im pretty sure it was $5..i think i bought if for $5 lol. anyone have any guesses on how much dragon age will be on sale for? edit: nevermind on dragon age[QUOTE="mrbojangles25"]

[QUOTE="Inger1"]The prob is many many many gamers deny games have any effect on the human mind at all. everything we experience has an effect on the human mind in some way or another. so therefore we should censor everything. /end threadso what are you getting at here, censorship for games? The prohibition of making titles with certain types of content?
We already have a rating system in place to tell people what kind of material is in each game. Most retailers will not permit the sale of Mature titles to those who are underage. Past this it is up to the parents to control what their kids are exposed to. If their child is susceptible or influenced by certain types of content, then the parents should limit the exposure.
