saw it was $50 bucks... mmm... bought it.

Loving every freaking second of it.

Co-op is brilliant. me n a buddy stayed up till the wee hours of the morning playing together and it was very, VERY entertaining.

Definately worth the price tag. It's well rounded, it has GREAT and amazing new mechanics to the portal systems, and it actually takes a brain to play.

I would recommend this in a heartbeat.

Soo many people wish to be in the industry, but do not realize what it takes to make a game that is on par with "today's" standards.

I got my BS in Digital Entertainment and Game Design and I feel like I could qualify as a 3d modeler for many smaller studios, maybe a few bigger ones. But the sheer amount of strenuous work that goes into creating a game and the amount of time spent on small, meticulous, details can burn an individual out very easily.

I was almost 3/4 the way through my course when I came to this realization so I stuck it out and finished it. I'm now looking into finances and work as a consultant at Fidelity investments.

Some people may fit in the game industry, but kiddies growing up saying "I want to make video games" have no idea what they're getting themselves into.

It's his hard earned money, and he can spend it on whatever he likes or doesn't like, for whatever reasons. And you're not allowed to call people tools here.

Yup, since you know the details of his life and how he earns his 'hard earned' money. Maybe it is hard earned, but he obviously had the intention of buying it with a pre-order in which his decision was swayed because of something that won't ever effect his personal gaming experience. I'm assuming it's bad information he has read which tells him that the $85 dlc is necessary and/or adds extra levels or the liking. And I was unaware that I cannot use the word tool here... Would you rather have me capitalizing profanities to express my frustration with people?

Shweet. I just noticed the new driver update, which I think has sold me at this point.

ps, the only reason I mentioned anything about bottlenecking is because people on other forums seemed to be obsessing about it on my posts.

(which I thought was silly of them.)

My current system is a i7 860 OC to 3.2 somethin, with 8 gb of ddr3 1600, and a GTX 275 stock.

I'm looking to upgrade my gpu and I've been eyeing the GTX 560 ti.

A lot of forums says it would be a 20-30% and possibly 30-40% upgrade but there are a few people saying I wouldn't notice a difference.

Just wondering what the GS community thought. I'm not worried about bottlenecking and the 560 I would buy would be the EVGA superclocked.

Any Ideas?

The only problem i have with playing H3 online is the grahpics aresub-par compared to what wehave now andI didn't really enjoy the story of the campain nor any of the campain for that matter. ODST was a joke, only rented for a few days.

If they can make this game look beautiful and have a compelling story AND have a good MP experiencelike all the games that have been coming out lately then i will very happily pick this up.

High expectations for what is going to be a very hyped game.

On my desktop computer I have a Linksys Wireless-G PCIAdapter. I have my own network that is locked as well.

I play Team Fortress 2 alot and i also play WoW a lot. I notice that when i'm playing wow or tf2 on my desktop, i get a small lag about every 2 mins, just a small hiccup that lasts about 1.5-2.5 seconds, and longer in some instances. It really annoys me sometimes because it does like to come at inconvenient times.

BUT, on the off chance that i decide to play these games on my laptop, i get no lag whatsoever. Both are connected to the same network. The only difference is the network card, i'm not sure what's in my acer, but it's internally intergrated.

Is there something i need to do to stop these from happening on my desktop? I have the latest drivers and everything.

I also tend to game on my laptop from a much farther distance from my router compared to my desktop, and i get the same lag-free results.
