3 Blue Jays in the ASG is awesome. Bautista and Edwin aren't surprising by any means, but Cecil has come out of no where. Dude thought he was cut in spring training when he got called into the managers office. Good for him, he's been sensational this year.

Ah, another one of these. Seahawks, Shock (AFL), Thunderbirds (WHL), Tiger-Cats (CFL).monkeytoes61

I've seen you post about the WHL before, but I just think it's pretty cool you pay attention to the CHL, or at least 1 team. I'm more of an OHL fan, but I pay attention to the WHL when I can. I think it's great hockey.

Toronto Maple Leafs

Toronto Blue Jays

Dallas Cowboys

Toronto Argos

Philadelphia Phillies (for Halladay)

Kitchener Rangers (OHL)

Don't like basketball, mostly cause the local team has sucked forever.

I thought you guys (the leafs) made some decent moves. Though I understand your argument with Clarkson.Swanogt19
I just don't like the terms of the contracts. The money could have been much worse. Clarkson is a fine player who fits what Carlyle wants. To make it a good deal though, he has to play well till he's 35...he makes 7M when he's 33 and 34 years old. Plus, I'll take $5.5M of Grabovski (probably the best C on the market) for 4 years over the $4.5M of Bozak for the next 5. Bozak is mis-cast as a first line C who looks good cause of Kessel and Lupul/JVR. And Kessel actually puts up better numbers without him. There was no reason to sign him.

Clarkson as much as I liked him in NJ is not worth 36.75 million over 7 years, especially after only one good year. He's a good guy but have fun with his ability to forget how to skate sometimes Toronto.

GT90
29 years old, who's 30 by season's start, who has topped out at 46 points, isn't worth what we're giving him. And that Bozak deal..could have been worse, still bad. Sens lose Alfie, gain Bobby Ryan. Well, that will bring some fans back.

This might be the worst year in a while to have lots of cap space. We'll be overpaying for Clarkson/Bozak/others. And buying out Grabo was just stupid. Probably the best center out there now.

We're finally playing some good baseball. Taking care of slumping teams and getting some very good pitching. Still lots of time left, and with Reyes coming in a week and 10 games against the AL East coming up, no reason we can't make things interesting.

And Adam Lind has the 4th best AVG in baseball...if he qualified. 2 or 3 AB shy. Pretty surprising after going on waivers last year.
