Updates and Garry's Mod mayhem

Hey everyone!

Another week, another blog.

So, I got Garry's Mod a week ago and boy is it fun. Check out my videos here:

DarthJokerFett

Not much has been happening with me lately. So, what's up with you?

Basically, I just wrote this to reassure you that I am not dead.

Thanks for Reading and Good Gaming!

It's been a Long Time (Or at least 2 weeks)

Hey everyone!

I thought that I should update since I haven't blogged in over 2 weeks!

I just haven't had a whole lot to blog about recently. I've been busy since I went back to C.lass balancing school work and gaming, leaving little time to make videos and blog.

BTW, I've also uploaded a new video to YouTube of the Republic at War mod for Empire at War:

Republic at War

Skip to the 10:00 mark for the climax of the battle.

That's about it for me, as you can see, I still can't put pics on my blog because of the stupid web browsers.

Thanks for reading and Good Gaming!

The Season of the RPG

Hey guys!

So, here's an update on what's new with me.

I've got a deal on Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition. I got them both new on Amazon.com for a total of $42. Which is good considering they retail for $30 each.

I also got Fallout 3 GOTY edition for Xbox 360 which I've been meaning to do for a while now. I also plan to trade in the PS3 version of F3 GOTY. I'm either going to sell it to Amazon or maybe sell it on the GameSpot Game Market. I just don't know how good items sell on the Game Market.

I've also uploaded several new gameplay videos to YouTube. Check them out here:

DarthJokerFett's Channel

That's about it for me. Sorry again for the lack of pictures in the blog. Neither Google Chrome or Internet Explorer will let me put pictures in the blog. If anyone knows a solution, it would be appreciated.

Thanks for reading and Good Gaming!

Updates, Lord of the Rings, and Pie

Hey everybody!

I know I haven't been blogging a whole lot lately, because I haven't really had that much to blog about. Just enjoying my vacation while I can. So, here's the latest:

I saw Captain America this weekend, and I was pretty impressed. I liked it better than Thor and Green Lantern, and it's pretty much tied with X-Men in my opinion.

I also bought something that I've been meaning to get, which is the extended editions of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. So far, I've seen the Two Towers and Return of the King. Return of the King is a must buy because it adds a lot more to the story than the theatrical version, but the Two Towers is passable. But if you're like me, then you have to have a complete set. Fellowship just arrived, and I'm going to watch it as soon as I post this blog.

That just about wraps it up for me. Sorry for the lack of pictures in this blog. I downloaded the new Internet explorer, and I just can't seem to get my blogs to work on it. Right now I'm using Google Chrome which let's me do everything but put pictures on my blogs. If anyone knows a solution, I would be very appreciative.

Rainy Days, Mass Effect, and Trophy Tracking

Hey guys!

So, I woke up today to the sound of my weather radio going off. I'm currently under a flash flood warning, and if you saw this monster rain, you'd believe it. Don't worry though, I live in an elevated area outside of the flood zones. These past several days have been polluted with bad weather. I just want to see the sun!

Anyway, in other news, I went to GameStop to renew my subscription to GameInformer, and I ended up buying a game too.

Mass Effect

I got it used for $20 but with an extra 10% off, I only payed $18. I love Mass Effect 2, and it was even my GOTY for last year if you remember. I had been meaning to get the original, but I never got around too it. So far, the game is fantastic and I'm even more excited to take the character I created in ME1, beat the game with him and then beat ME2 with him. And on March 6, 2012, take my character to the end of this epic saga in ME3.

Also, why hasn't GameSpot fixed their achievement tracking yet?

I uninstalled that stupid Raptr client because it wouldn't even track half of my PS3 trophies, and the ones it did track showed up several days after I earned them.

The achievement tracking is better but still broken. If you look at my achievements in the top left corner, you might notice that some have the correct picture while others are just flat out wrong.

Am I the only one with this or is Raptr still screwing up for everyone?

Well thanks for reading and Good Gaming!

I'm Back (again)

Hey guys!

I'm back after my 2 week vacation to Chicago!

Sorry if I didn't comment on yourblogs while I was gone, but I'll try to get back on track again.

In other news, I've changed my banner to celebrate one of my favorite FPS franchises: Halo. Check it out above.

I've also downloaded the Defiant and Noble map packs for Halo Reach. I've been playing a lot since I've been back, so I decided it was worth the investment. So far the maps have been excellent, and they area worthwhile buy for anyone who plays Reach as religously as me. Be warned though that it is necessary to buy both packs to play the maps in multiplayer.

I also bought a new Steam game last week called World in Conflict. It was on sale for about $15 off, so I decided to go ahead and get it. It's a pretty fun action RTS set in a fictional World War III between the US and Soviet Union. If you are a fan of RTS games, I recommend you check it out.

I also saw Transformers 3 over the weekend, and I have to say that I was happily surprised with how good it actually was. Much better than "Revenge", and I think it is probably better than even the first. I highly recommend that you go see it ASAP!

That just about wraps it up for me folks.

Dark of the Moon, Aliens, and Predators Oh My!

Hey everyone!

Just an update blog since I haven't blogged in a week.

I am really excited about the new Transformers movie coming out on the 29th. It looks far superior to the disappointing Revenge of the Fallen.

I also ordered Alien vs. Predator for the X-Box for only $11.50! So, even if it sucks,I won't lose a lot.

I also came up with thisidea. Since there is all of this Twilight fandom going on in the US and everywhere else in the world, I have thought of competition similar to Team Edward and Jacob.

So are you team...

Alien

or Team

Predator

Here's some other ideas that you can go around asking people,

Team Autobot or Team Decepticon

Team Batman or Team Joker

Team Battlefield or Team Call of Duty

Team Spartan or Team Elites

Team Family Guy or Team South Park

Tell me which side you are on and ask your friends and family.

The Summer Lull

Hey everyone!

So, another year, another E3 has passed.

In case you missed it, you can find my E3 awards here:

The Second Annual JF E3 Awards

So what was your Best of Show?

Anyway, after E3 is over comes the least active time of year for new games:

The Summer Lull

So, I try and catch up on some hot games from last year that I can get at a reasonable price. Here's some of the ones I'm considering:

Alien vs. Predator (X360)

Alien vs Predator

The Sly Collection (PS3)

Brutal Legend (X360)

Brütal Legend

Those are just some of the games out there. If you have any recommendations, it would be appreciated.

I also have a new Just Cause 2 video up on YouTube which you can find here:

Just Cause 2: Airplane Tripwire

Remember to thumbs up!

The Second Annual JF E3 Awards

Hey everybody!

The Nintendo press conference wrapped up a few short hours ago, signifying the end of the conferences and announcements, so I thought that I might as well write my awards. I hope you enjoy. :)

The Second Annual JF E3 Awards

So, this year's E3 was one of the best in recent history with two new hardware announcements, and plenty of new games.

So let me start the awards by handing out the big cheese:

Best of Show

Battlefield 3

A game that really wowed me at the EA press conference. It truly has the potential to be one of the best FPSs of all time.

2. Mass Effect 3 – Another game that looks great, but I did not see enough new and ground breaking features over ME2 to make this my Best of Show.

3. Batman Arkham City – Pretty much the same case with ME3. I really want this, but nothing new was shown to make an impact. Playing as Catwoman looks cool, but I was under the impression that Rocksteady was going to reveal another big feature at E3, only to find out that Catwoman was supposed to be the surprise even though details were released several days ago.

Best Surprise

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time

Yes! It's a dream come true! I said, last year, that it was a disappointment that there was no Sly 4 coming out, but apparently Sony read my blog and decided to oblige! I can't wait to see some game play on Sly 4.

2. Far Cry 3 – It looks like Ubisoft is getting smart and deciding to return to Far Cry's roots. I just hope they dash the whole weapon deterioration and malaria medicine mechanics from Far Cry 2. This would have been number 1 had rumors not leaked about it on different sites.

3. Halo 4 – This definitely would have been number 1 had Microsoft not confirmed it a day before the press conference!

Best New Hardware

Wii u

I have to say that I was pretty impressed with the Wii u. The promise of more intuitive game design and HD graphics on a Nintendo console sounds promising. Will we one day be able to play fun Super Mario games on the same console that we play our hardcore FPS? Only time will tell.

2. Playstation Vita – This was a close one for me. I definitely want to get my hands on a portable gaming device will HD graphics that rival the PS3. The new Uncharted game for the Vita also makes me want this more.

Best IP

Overstrike

Coming from a company known for its over-the-top action and crazy arsenal, this title sounds promising.

2. Rage – Another post-apocalyptic FPS? I'll take it!

Best Co-op

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier

Executing timed kills and taking down an entire squad of bad guys in a second with friends. Who doesn't think that sounds awesome?

2. Uncharted 3 – While we haven't seen much of it, Uncharted 3's co-op seeks to combine the adventure and excitement of the campaign with the fun of playing with friends.

Best Sequel

Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception

After seeing the demo of the next chapter in Naughty Dog's epic series, I have no doubt that this will be the best Uncharted yet!

2. Batman Arkham City – Definitely my most anticipated game of the year, Arkham City looks like it will deliver even more action, stealth, and Batman lore than its predecessor.

3. Assassin's Creed Revelations – I am really invested in this series, and I am eager to see how Ezio's final chapter unfolds. However, from the demo, I have not seen any really new attention grabbing features besides the updated graphics.

Best Press Conference

EA

Overall, I really enjoyed EA's lineup of games with my two favorites being Mass Effect 3 and Battlefield 3.

2. Sony – I always enjoy Sony's conferences, and the only real reason Sony isn't #1 is because the lineup was not super strong this year, and I felt they spent a little too much time on 3D.

3. Nintendo – I also enjoyed the Nintendo conference this year with the unveiling of the Wii u, and some promising 3DS titles that make me want to buy a 3DS.

Biggest Disappointment

Ubisoft Press Conference

Don't get me wrong, Ubisoft had some great games including Ghost Recon, Assassin's Creed, and Driver San Francisco, but I could not stand Aaron Priceman (a.k.a. Mr. Caffeine). He was a total @$$hole and even made a couple of penis jokes on stage. He almost made the show unwatchable with his bad jokes and stupid sound effects. It made me wish for the guy that hosted last year.

Red Faction, X-Men, and EPIC STUNTS

Hey everybody!

So, here is just a quick update.

I just bought the original Red Faction on Steam for $2.50!

Talk about a deal, and if you want to cash in on the 75% off all Red Faction all weekend deal, then check out the Steam Store.

I also plan to go and see the new X-Men movie this weekend, and I'll be sure to write JF Movie Review on my next blog after I see it.

I've also uploaded my first YouTube video since March! It's an old Just Cause 2 video that I forgot about but found when I was going through my files.

Here's the link:

Just Cause 2: Greatest Stunt Ever

Be sure to like!
