They do, but Valve just didn't whore themselves out like Bungie and MS did. Half-Life sold better than Halo did (7 million compared to 6 million), but Halo 2 and Halo 3 were hyped up to hell and back by Bungie and MS's pimps...err, marketing departments.

that's what i'm talking about when i say all the reviews are gimped. But flame baits don't understand that. They bought into the hype, and reviewed the game on it's hype and not the actual quality of the game. I do believe the reviews are gimped, and please disprove me wrong. Tell me what makes this game a 9.0... a game of the year,JTH. What makes this different then halo 2?

hahahahahahahaha. yea sure, considering i own a 360 and played halo 2 right up until halo 3, and i have to say, half the MP maps are remade halo 2 maps.Only thing i see different is a couple of new weapons. O and by the way the single player was a joke. I give it a 8.0 at best.

And that's why judging a game on sales is pure bs.

No, most games don't artificially inflate their acclaim through TV ads. Halo 3 was excessive, but Bioshock and others of its caliber deserved their acclaim and success.

Bioshock deserves it's score, and is an amazing game... not much hype, but yet was amazing. That was a game that deserved that score... it was a different type of FPS, and was great. Halo is the same ol' same ol' and doesnt' deserve a 9.0 and higher

So now that EPIC has officially delayed the PS3 version of UT 3 until 2008, what does this troubled console have left to entice consumers to buy this holiday? Does Sony really think HAZE, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank and Folklore are enough?
