Video Blog #2 is up!

Hey Gamespot. Video Blog #2 is up and running. Nothing special really, I just talk about what I have been playing and what I am going to be playing for a long time after this is posted.....and I am completely elated to do so!!

Have a good one!

Mario Kart Wii

Ok, I picked up Mario Kart Wii today. Very addicting....I plan on doing a video review of the game in the next day or so. I should be playing for a little while right now so hit me up if you are going to be online!

New content in the form of crappy videos...

Hey Gamespot,

Well I posted my first videos last night. The first one was corrupted so I have to re-capture the footage tonight. The other one was gameplay footage of NGB. I apologize for the quality of the video, its alot worse than expected. The original video is alot better. Next time I am going to get a direct feed from the TV. I should have my original video blog back up tonight, so we'll see how that goes.

I also wanted to say thanks to EightBitWarrior for his helpful tips, I really appreciate that man.

Thanks for stopping by!

Updates....

I made a video blog last night, but since I am at level 3 I cannot post vids just yet...no biggie...only a little while longer.

This week I received two Nintendo Wavebirds from ebay....finally. I knew I should have gotten these things right around the Wii's launch, but I did not and am fully feeling the regret of not doing so. Not to say that the two that I bought do not function properly. They are perfect...but the regret is factored into the thought that I COULD have gotten them brand new and I COULD have paid less than $50.00 a piece for them. No problem though, they are almost immaculate and I am thankful for that.

I have also been working on two Karma runs for Ninja Gaiden Black. I am trying to reach a higher ranking on Xbox Live because currently my normal and hard scores are in the 400's. So that has been alot of fun, and equally frustrating. Lots of resets to get it right....

Other than that I picked up "Gone Baby Gone" for Blue Ray. Fantastic movie, definitely check it out if you get the chance. Also the first season of "The Tudors" which is equally phenomenal....so many beautiful women in that show..

Thats about it for now so take care and I'll talk to you soon!

After introductions...

What's up GameSpot?

I figured after my first introduction blog I should write a bit about gaming....

My foray into gaming started in 1986 when I was at the tender age of 5. I received my first Nintendo Entertainment System around this time, I cant remember exactly. Played the original Super Mario Bros. to death. I Spent an abhhorent amount of time on the NES, and developed an extensive library throughout the years, but a few memorable moments in the early years are the most fresh in my mind. The original Legend of Zelda, was probably the game that sparked my love for games. There is something fantastic about a boy saving a princess and defeating the most evil being in the world that appealed to my imagination. I have had nearly every game in the series from that moment on. By far my favorite being "A Link to the Past". I went through that game with such enthusiasm, loving every moment. I even took a picture of the ending to send into Nintendo Power (Subscriber of course).

The next event would definitely be the release of Super Mario Bros. 3. The movie "The Wizard" at the time was the first gameplay we had ever seen in North America at the time and I was frothing over it. Loved that movie, even today with its campy cheesiness it still brings back phenomenal memories. Somewhere in my parents house are pictures of me in a custom sewn Racoon Mario suit that my Mom made for me the year the the game was released. It was for halloween and at the time there were alot of video game costumes. A buddy of mine went as Link and was seriously bad ass looking...even for a young fella. Awesome stuff, I'll try to find the pictures and definitely post them.

It seems since then my gaming career has been very steady through the years. I have had so many consoles with some exceptions like Neo Geo and Sega Saturn. There was only a small sliver of time when I was not gaming alot and it was during my early twenties. Going out to bars and picking up girls in Towson, (or trying to haha) took up most of my time. But I bought my Wii at launch, from Amazon. A friend of mine called me on the day they were opening the sales and he and I both got pre-orders for it in a very small window of time. Definitely cool.... After that I fully got back into gaming and its been a blast ever since.... I bought my 360 about this time last year, and just 2 weeks ago picked up a PS3. So I am fully prepared to write reviews for all the systems.

So I hope you guys enjoyed some of this blog, albeit lengthy, I hope you can remember the times that keep us gaming. If I hadn't been a huge fan of the Eight Bit era, I probably would not be playing today. The memories are great.....

First Blog Entry!

What's up Gamespot?

Finally starting my Gamespot blog after being a long time reader and fan of the site... I have been checking out the site since its inception, and have immensely enjoyed checking out reviews which to me was such a blessing. Being a child of the Eighties, you would buy a game and just hope it would live up to the expectations that you had set for it. Sometimes you were right and sometimes you were wrong. My most famous "wrong" that I can remember is purchasing an SNES game called "Family Dog" back in the very early nineties. I remember watching the cartoon a few times, and wanting the game because it looked fun in an issue of Nintendo Power. Wow, I could not have been more wrong. Ridiculous game, I remember being very frustrated that I had been duped by the publication. I am sure that many of you will agree that Nintendo Power could have many biases when it came to certain developers, and did not review the games as they should have been reviewed.

Anyhow, there have been a couple of people on this site that have definitely inspired me to start blogging and video blogging on this site. EightBitWarrior was definitely a fantastic source of inspiration. I happened to be checking the site out one day and on the front page was a video from non other than the man himself. Not knowing who he was, his absolutely epic beard sparked my curiosity enough to check out his video. I found it really entertaining and started checking out a few more of his friends videos. TheWesker, NeoJedi, LordofUltima, all seemed like very chill, down to earth people and I really enjoyed their videos as well. Great job fellas, definitely keep up the good work!

So I guess this is just the start of my posts so definitely stop by, I should have a video sometime in the near future.
