I'm not sure if it's been already mentioned, but if you're looking for a great co-op game for NES than Battle Citty would be your best choice, it's really fun and adictive, it's not that hard, well, not until you reach the later levels that is.

There's some truth in what you say, but look at it this way. It's one of the few games "based" on a movie that doesn't suck, the graphics were actually gorgeous for it's time, so was the gameplay, of course it's only natural for it to get rusty over the time, after all the game is fairly old, but it still beats some games even today. One thing about Butcher Bay I truly loved were characters and inpecable voice acting, I have yet to see a better voice acting. In the end it's all about your personal preference, as for me, well, I enjoyed playing Butcher Bay, I don't think it's overrated nor do I think it's best shooter out there or even among them, a great game and that's all it is.

[QUOTE="Zerocrossings"]

[QUOTE="fastr"]I don't believe Chrono Cross deserves to be on a list with FF7. Chrono Trigger yes.. but the squeal was no where near as good. Plus why not Lufia 2? fastr

Those 3 are among ps1 games. Cant you even infer that?

way to be a jackass. It doesn't change the fact CC isn't on the level of FF7.

And why not, because you say so. Has ever occurred to you that some appreciate Chrono Cross more than your "almighty" Final Fantasy VII, some actually think of it as a better game, like me for instance, maybe that's why it's on the list. Think about it. Now, if we're talking about PS One era , I think Xenogears and Final Fantasy IX are better than those three games, but that's only my humble opinion so don't mind me, out of the choice you gave us, I'll have to go with Chrono Cross, though only because I enjoyed it more than Final Fantasy VII, and I haven't played Legend of Mana.

I have yet to play a Mario game I didn't enjoy, with that being said, I'm not really thrilled with the actual franchise still being up and running, guess I got tired of Nintendo serving us the same game with little to no changes.

While great game overall, Resident Evil 4 lacks the intense and creepy atmosphere the earlier tittles had, not being scared once makes it more a plain shooter in my book, not to mention that survival horrors are in general all about "surviving", feeling weak, scared, something Resident Evil 4 failed to deliver.

[QUOTE="Judge-Gabranth"]I don't think either one of my favorite games could be easily translated into a movie, one movie that is, unless we're speaking about 6-10 hour movie here, maybe a trilogy. I for once wouldn't want a live action movie based on my favorite game as they tend to suck, rarely does directior know jack about the game itself, nor does he bother to bring someone that actually does. The only movie I would aprove is either anime or CGI one, and it would be a prequel to let's say Final Fantasy IX.bisonfan2010

But it doesn't matter on how well it was made in the past...Think of it this way...

You have an unlimited movie budget to make the perfect game movie...whether it be live action or not...you can call your own cast of actors to act out and have be a big production film...not something of cheap budget like super mario bros...or doom (although doom did have the rock lol)

Like someone stated above MGS 1 would make a huge movie...But I think they would have to make metal gear from the nes into a movie first...since it is a prequel to MGS 1 on ps1...I think they could be summer blockbusters

It seems you didn't quite understand what I was trying to say, guess me and my bad English are the ones to blame. But seriously, one movie wouldn't be enough, no matter how much money you got, no matter how good the actors are you simply can't pull of a decent live action movie based on a game such as Final Fantasy IX. As for why, simple really. Can you imagine squeezing a 50-80 hour game into a movie that would last 3 hours max, Uwe Boll can, but that's a different story, and the actors, who could possibly play Steiner with me saying, "that's Steiner alright". Trilogy would be a different thing, which I've already mentioned, though I would still prefer either a CGI or anime movie, both highly doable to less limitations.

this thread is fifty seven message long! let's see if we can get to sixty or seventy. I'll start some debate, I thought FFVIII was much better than VVII. any thoughts?

mariomaster16
And what's there to debate, Final Fantasy VIII is indeed better than it's predecessor, Final fantasy VII.

Duke and Solid Snake always had some memorable lines, quite easily my favorite comes from Duke Nukem 3D, "It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum... and I'm all outta gum", another great one, "Nuke 'em 'till they glow, then shoot 'em in the dark!". As for Solid Snake... Otacon: The truth is... my grandfather was part of the Manhattan Project. He lived with the guilt for the rest of his life. And my father... he was born on August 6, 1945. Solid Snake: The day of the Hiroshima bomb. God's got a sense of humor, all right.
