The Xbox 360's GPU supports a modified version of DirectX 9.  The GPU in the  current 360 can not support DirectX10.

Should I get the intercooler?
cause recently my 360 has been on fire when i felt the air comin out of the back ventilation area. so i got worried and i want your advice (GOOD ADVICE)...THNX!

I don't need anyone to be posting any bull****..thnx
zikeria

The air being blown out of the 360 should be fairly warm,  If the air is acutally so hot it discomforts your hand you might wanna consider placing your 360 in a new spot.

Of course putting it on a carpeted floor or something like that is not wise since the carpet traps heat.  If you have it on a nice hard surface try and space it from other objects.

Seems I awoke a monster with this post.  The reason I asked was to get an idea when the switch would occur, so I could decide when to purchase it.  To me BC functionality is a big deal, I still own many of my PS1 games as well as my PS2 games.  The idea I can revist an old favorite is really cool to me.  I like the idea of being able to pop in a game like Xenogears knowing is going to workis really great.

That right there is a nice feature of the PS3, it is a bit more dynamic with what hardware you can hook up to it.  I could go and buy an eyetoy and try and hook it to my 360, I think its obvious that it won't work.

I'm not sure if this has ever been posted but I found this completely by chance.  At the 3:21 min mark you see what seems to be a old clip of Jeff doing some manly armpump or something.  Just thought I would share since I thought it kinda funny.

P.S. The music is really annoying.

Its hard to say when Sony will drop the price point on the PS3.  They could drop the price for the 08 holiday season., the only reason they would do that is if they are in the same sorry state their in now.  I doubt you'll see a price drop for a year or two atleast.  I think reports said that it costs Sony and estimated 800 or so dollars for them to manufacter a 60gig PS3.  There losing 200 or so dollars on every 60gig PS3 sold.  It all depends when Sony feels like it will be best time, hell they could do it tomorrow if they were able to stomach the losses.  All you can do is wait.
