I loved God of War, that game has some of the greatest moments in the history of video games. Dusty114

Agreed. God of War will make it beyond to the next console generation, it's that good. I'm so excited for GOW2. I want Kratos' bow and arrow, that looked so sweet seeing it in action on last weeks episode of On The Spot. I'm also curious on what types of spells we're able to unleash. Time will only tell.

"The Cell processor will also be powerful enough to drive a new class of gameplay physics impossible to run on older console hardware. The PS3 will be able to simulate cloth and fluid, as well as large-scale rigid-body interactions with hundreds and thousands of objects colliding on screen. Today's PCs in comparison will need a physics add-on card or find a way to tap the GPU for physics processing to run PS3-level physics effects."

'PlayStation 3 RSX "Reality Synthesizer" graphics-processing unit, a massive 550MHz, 300-million-transistor graphics chip based on advanced GeForce graphics technology. According to a written statement from Nvidia, the RSX transistor count is "more than the total number of transistors in both the central-processing units and the graphics-processing units of the three leading current-generation systems, combined." During the PlayStation 3 E3 2005 presentation, Nvidia CEO and founder Jen-Hsun Huang explained that "the RSX has twice the performance of the GeForce 6800 Ultra, the highest performance GPU in the world today. Each of these GPUs retails for $500. There will be two of them, equivalent horsepower, in the RSX."'     http://www.gamespot.com/features/6125429/p-2.html

I believe that the PS3 will have enough graphical power to keep Crysis running. If PC's need an add on card to be equal to the PS3 or even have more graphical power than the GeForce 6800, I don't see why not. Of course, the true power won't be fully utilized until 2 maybe 3 years after the PS3's launch. We'll shall soon see.

I agree. MIcrosoft has always been about money and not the games. They monopolized the computers, whose to say that they wont try for the gaming industry. It is the money maker. The gaming industry makes more money than the film industry. They blocked the browsers for computers. Now, they make people play online with their games. Thats non-sense. Most PC games dont charge people to play online why should console gamers. I feel that online should be free, if people want the bells and whistles thats when the subscription comes in. I feel thats what sony will do with the PS3. Gamers are able to play online without the special features. If you want those features people have to pay for them. I'm not talking about an e-mail account. File sharing with players, downloadable content, video confrencing, and an e-mail account. For players that dont want to have a subscription, they can buy the downloadable content at the nearest game store. With the PS3 I believe that its possible to have video conferencing. Imagine playing a mech game on the PS3 and being able to talk with picture in picture, communications would be interesting. Playstation has been known to start new franchises.... Im curious on whats in store in the future. Exciting.

In this day and age when there is a time and place for better technology, the cost goes up. And for the developers to fit a game on more than one disc might get too expensive. Look at nintendo with the N64. Their games were $80 a pop because it costed the developer more to make the games, friggin cartridges. With blu-ray, bigger space, less money to put into it for that space. Sony is pushing the envelope with technology right now. And I respect them for it, unlike X-box all they care about is their hardware and not focus on software. And unfortunatly people are buying that mentality. It's sad, but true. And as for anime style games, Sony does need oblivion. Sony needs something fresh and new besides a new final fantasy game, or a new dragon quest. I for one am tired of playing grand theft autos or burn outs. I believe that with the PS3, there will be better and fresh games. I'm hoping that they remake wipeout for the PS3.

Will "Oblivion" hit the PS3?
