Just finished clear coating, just gotta let it dry, will post pics sometime tomorrow. Turned out really well :P Just have to wait for my new buttons to arrive and I can put it all back together.
 I live in the UK and they don't ship internationally so not much use I'm afraid. Plus I was being maybe a bit optimistic and hoping for clear plastic, not coloured. MonoSilver
You can buy transparent shells all over the internet and a PS3 controller is super easy to take apart and put back together.
I've never thought about doing that, What do you use? I could honestly see myself plasti dipping my controller white lol.Tetrarch9
I just picked up some Krylon Fusion for Plastic spraypaint Along with some Clear Coat at my local Walmart. I also ordered a set of white buttons on ebay last night. I should be finished within the next couple of days. There are tons of cool designs on google, more so for Xbox controllers, but painting a PS3 controller is basically the same. I'm also going to be changing the red led's to blue :P Can't wait to see how it turns out. I will post pics when im done.

I'm really hoping it still has a solid feel to it, which I think it will since everybody online I have seen who has painted a controller seems to really like it.Â
Just went to the store to pick up some paint for my ps3 controller. Just wondering if anyone else here has painted any controllers. If so any tips? Also show some pics :P

Everything other than WoW sucks to you, blatantly explained by your sig. Maybe it is crap, but I don't really value your opinion. You obviously found value in it to spend time to reply to it. So that's one lie. The other lie is that I think everything other than WoW sucks. Then the third lie is that my signature picture explains that everything other than WoW sucks. Which it doesn't. It's about WoW being better than Guild Wars 2 and even then, my "sig" doesn't really explain it. Any more lies you want to tell me? Haha first of all just cause I replied to your post, doesn't mean I found any value in what you said. Secondly your profile pic says "WoW is the best game ever made." And I know myself and many others really enjoyed Guild Wars 2. WoW has no where to go except down hill. I have nothing against WoW and I actually just started playing it a few weeks ago. Had fun for the first bit, but lost interest soon after. Also i'm not lying about anything when I say I don't value your opinion and from what you are showing everyone on the forums is that WoW is the best game ever made and no other MMO compares to it.
I don't see the fun in trying to imitate how someone else plays a game, unless its strategies for an Online game. Any single player games I think it would be stupid to play it any other way than yours.
