[QUOTE="KABCOOL"][QUOTE="04dcarraher"]Do you have a buzzer/beeper connected to motherboard? The number & and length of beeps will tell you wants wrong. I would double check all connection with psu to items in the pc motherboard and gpu. Make sure gpu is seated into pci-e slot fully. Could also be a chance the psu isnt any good too. 04dcarraher
I couldn't find the buzzer when I was putting everything together, but i'll take a look. All the connections are good and everything is plugged in correctly. Is there a chance it could be the Hard Drive?

Are you getting anything on the screen when booting? A pc will still boot up without a HDD.

Nope not getting anything on the screen, so I guess its not the hd

About 2 weeks ago my computer bit the dust and decided not to turn on. When trying to turn it on I would get 0 feedback, no lights beeps or anything. So I sent in the motherboard into MSI and they gave me a new one. So I just finished installing it and now it turns on and I have 4 lights on for the CPU indicating 4 phase power mode which I assume means my CPU is all good. Hopefully. All the fans start spinning including my gpu fans. So what could the problem be? Any idea?

I had a computer once that wouldnt turn on either, but i unplugged everything except for the 24pin power and it turned on. Turned out the graphics card was the problem and luckily the computer had on board anyways. Even before that if i tried to turn the power on i could see the cpu fan just barely turn sometimes so i knew there was power going to the computer.Kurushio
I tried just plugging the 24 pin into the motherboard to see if that would turn on but it didn't and I know the power supply is working since I tested it. So I guess it s the mobo.

How old is you computer? You may have to get a new power supply. The same thing happened to me about a year ago after cleaning mine out.

I tested my power supply and it works fine. I used the paperclip method and it powered on my case fans and dvd drive. So I guess its either my mobo or cpu. Anyway to check if the mobo is dead? Edit: Its a couple years old.

as long as you have a speaker connected to the mobo so you can hear post beeps, remove everything from it (cpu/ram) and try to power it on. it should go into a fit.

Alright I did this but still no sign of power or anything. No lights came on, no beeps, nothing. So I guess it's my mobo, I hope my cpu is still good, my mobo is still under warranty.

So if I have nothing but the speaker connected it should still make noise and atleast show its not dead? I'll try that in a little bit thanks.

yes and by speaker I mean the little 4 pin that connects to the motherboard directly.

Alright I just tried this out but still no luck. All I had plugged in was the ATX 24 pin, power switch, and the 4 pin speaker but still no lights, beeps, or anything. So I guess i'll send it in and get a new one. Hopefully my cpu is still good.
