Whats making me upset is Mass Effects conversations bewteen the charachtters...

the voice acting is sub par, the facial animations are non existent, the whole thing feels lifeless

this is true. my dad works at ps3 and my mom works at bungie. the game will be told from diffrent viewpoints . it is more of a prequal. it tells the orgins of the war and the flood. the name IS difrrent. the name of the game is Forerunner

Only not using Master Chief as the main character and storyline.... but telling a slightly different story from the perspective of the Flood....its pretty much the same basis for the game only different..if you know what im trying to say

I love how some people actually take this stuff somewhat seriously. (the people replying to the post)

I just went and watched all the video trailers, gameplay videos etc. of Mass Effect and to be honest I wasnt impressed. Sure the graphics are ownage, especially the faces which are gorgeous, but the gameplay looks drab and the artistry looks like plastic. I see what the did with the interactive responses to questions and everything, but I think they spent too much time doing voice-overs and not enough time thinking up a compelling story and interesting gameplay.

I'm not bashing mass effect or anything as I was hoping for it to be a good game. These are just my thoughts based on what I've seen. Does anybody agree?

Halo/Bioshock and ME do attract the same audience type. Some of the poeple who buy halo might get those games. Lemmings can't deny that. GT owns PGR and ace combat is ok.

try again, Mass Effect isnt Halo. RPGs arent the same as FPS, everyone knows that. GT isnt out this year, so who cares? Besides Forza 2 owns any GT game Ive played so far in fun factor. If you want an idea of what Mass Effect is like, play KOTOR and imagine it with better combat.

dont lie to yourself. A majority of the poeple who will buy ME are they same poeple who buy games like bioshock and Halo. Theres nothing wrong with admiting it.
