I can't believe people are defending Timeshift. The demo was garbage. The game is boring and completely mediorcre compared to other shooters that are available right now.

Bioshock, Resistance, The Orange Box, Halo 3 are all available right now and far more worthy of your money.

Stop hatin' on Aaron, it's getting tired. A 6.5 is more than fair for that crap. I think he was being generous.

when I FIRST read about the game a long while ago I was fairly interested in it. Read the newer stuff on it, played the demo a few times.

It was mediocre at best. It was as bland as an FPS can be. Gunplay was boring, simple basic weapons.

Time control seemed kind of broken and could be tweaked a bit better. Enemies were boring and dumb.

The only thing I found fun was pausing time, and shooting enemies with the exploding arrows and watching them blow to bits, and rewind it, then slow mo, and repeat.

I'm buying crysis.

And I plan on enjoying every bit of it.

It's an honest question.

There are two sides to every argument. And on system wars, a thread like this can either been seen as a logical post, or damage control. Whilst I tend to view this as logic, this is system wars, and such logic is quickly dismissed as "damage control".

Whilst you may not care, If you'd have said "GAMESPOT IS BIASED" or "R&C IS OFFICIALLY AAA", you'd have probably gotten a more quality line of responces. and possibly more laughs.

the difference between 9.0 and 7.5 is much different than the difference between 7.7 and 6.0.....even though the gap may not be numerically larger......it is nonetheless larger....

6s and 7s are almost clumped together (IMO) lots of the times.....but you dont' see 9s and 7s clumped together....

Each time you go up a level of rating it is harder and harder to achieve that next level (from 6 to 7 to 8 to 9....it becomes progressively harder to move your way up)

But his overall point still stands. Even the the logic is partially lacking.

Gamespot's reviews are not bias or skewed in anyway. But some fanboys like to think so. It's a psychological defense mechanism that can be described to a great extent...or in layman's terms...what ever helps you sleep at night :P

Meh it's not even ownage since we know it's a AAA game with a 9.4 average

But hey! GS didn't like it so it's an obvious flop and everything else is wrong
