*Sigh* WinXp was Worse then 2000. 2000 was incredibly stable and a great OS all around WinVista can be disregarded as its not an OS its Malware in itself. Win7 I have had problems occur often that should not have occured for no reason but Gates wills it. They improve every version but with every version it becomes more bloated and haggard. Remember when Vista came out, 4gb just to run it, same thing on 7 unless you want to run into hitches or spend time playing with the OS to get it to play nice with the hardware. I dont use Linux daily as it is no games, I have delved into it of course but comparing WIN to Linux, Linux just works. I type something in it does EXACTLY as I told it to do and with Windows you just dont get that. Windows is getting to casual for a power user like me and with no alternative Im stuck on this tugboat. Have they gotten rid of the CMD yet? They have been trying for years but since its extremely useful if you actually want to solve a problem they havnt been able to.

Im sick of Windows, its getting worse and worse and less efficient ever since Windows Fisher Price, and I liked that one. But still,Steam should be coming to Linux and then a new era reborn, an era with no windows! We might become basement dwelling Dwemmer but we will extremely efficient at what we do. Thats not going to happen though, no DirectX no love. Win8 is the largest shift since they introduced XP I think. Its gonna be horrible till SP2 for most people.

Hello

A problem I have ran into when attempting to play with a bro on CNC3 over hamachi is that Ill join his room and then shortly after get kicked then try to join and get kicked. I think on his end it says I timeout or d/c or something like that so I expect its a network issue/software. As it always is with EA products.

But anyway does anyone have input on such info.

[QUOTE="KLONE360"]Corporate body making false claims. Nothing new. Without Steve Jobs we will see Apple slump into the ground, they might recover if they find a glorious leader though. But its gonna get worse before it gets better.blaznwiipspman1

stop riding steve jobs jock, he wasn't that great, the only reason people think hes so big is because he died before meeting his inevitible failure.

Your implying that he didnt have anything to do with the company and its internal workings. Yes he was an arse, and I still hate him. I see you have very little cognitive understanding of what your actually claiming. Just look at the products made after Jobs in Apple, a laptop that will burn your crotch and a tablet that's worse then the previous. And Jobs did save the company from failure before. He was a tyranical jerk but dont be a fool and claim he did nothing. He was a damn good marketer though. Let me tell you, I have never owned an Apple product because of distaste of their products and I hate Ipods and Itunes with a passion. So stop riding your own jock and get off your high horse.

It's a bargain basement version of World in Conflict. No thanks...

Not at all near the same thing, WIC when I played it was more about the bigger picture as MOW is more about unit tactics and placement of men. A more tactical game thats more realistic.

but why is there a $110 price difference?

imran753
Because they can? Sapphires usually have better cooling as you can see just from looking at it. Worth it for standard user? No, I would just save a hundred and go with the standard one.

[QUOTE="KLONE360"][QUOTE="GummiRaccoon"]

Why can't I trash an OS that has the security equivalent of an open front door?

GummiRaccoon

Because its as stupid as trashing the Ford Model T in todays terms. Its old, and it only makes you look stupid. Win7 will be in the same position in its lifecycle eventually as all programs are.

No. That'd be like trashing a model T if every time you got into one it exploded.

"hurr hurr model Ts are old don't talk smack" *walks toward model T*

"NO DONT GET INTO THAT MODEL T! THAT SH!T SUCKS!" *BOOM*

*Sigh* Really? We are going to do this? Really? What I was saying is that its old and does not at all compete with modern software running on modern hardware and would be foolish to compare it to the latest and greatest. Of course its not as *secure* as newer OSs yet in trained hands its as safe as most any. But by the time your network is intruded to the point where the Operating Systems security matters then its the failure of your network you should be upset about and not your Operating system. Model Ts are awesome but have nothing on newer cars its the same idea. That older models have nothing on latest and greatest. But your absurd Herping is really quite pointless and adds nothing to this forum and only takes away so please sir at least be sensible.

[QUOTE="KLONE360"]

1. You dont need an Anti Virus program but you pretty much need a firewall.

2. Dont trash XP, or Win200 for that matter, both are extremely reliable and are still used in a variaty of real world applications ranging from retail stores to manufacturing to all kinds of stuff.

3. SP1 is old and this will force people to update to newer SP2 or eventually SP3 and possibly allow upgrades to be possible for the Steam client that were not before.

its really not that big of a deal, but seeing as how the mess with Win8 is Im not exactly overly happy when my neck will be on the chopping block and Ill need to upgrade.

I havnt posted here in a loooong time but I see, GS hasnt changed a bit.
