[QUOTE="Duckman5"]What is the make and model and is the channel set to 1 or 11?Duckman5

Model is BEFW-1154 ver. 4, how do you find the channel?

Ahhhh! There in lies the problem. Read the manuel it will tell you. The Wii NEEDS the router to be on 1 or 11 to work.

Really? I think I got mine 3 or 13. o_O

Nope trust me it doesn't work do some research.

Just checked my router, its on 13. >_>

Thats weird. Still research even on Nintendo.com it says it's not compatible.

Perhaps its because Im using a Router that was recomended by Nintendo?

So am I. So either your a fu_king lier or your Wii is just abnormal. Serious check anywhere.

No, I believe u, I have heard of people sujesting to use ch1-11 before, Mine just worked straight out of the box, I never changed any settings at all for the Wii. Very Odd.

[QUOTE="Kamuikankatsu"]Does it support WiFi? I think the technical term for it is 802.11b/g. If u see that anywhere on your manual saying it supports it it should work. It could also be u have some sort of sercurity setup? If so I can't really think of how I can help u, cause Im not good at the software part of things.CJL13

It says 802.11b.

I think the b/g is two differant types. I forget which is which, But I think the the 802.11g was WiFi. If u go to the nintendo site they have a large list of comaptible routers, You might be able to find yours there. They also have a guide to setting up the connection to the Wii.

Lately my Wii has been turning off completly after being on standby for more then 24hours. Im not sure if its cause its overheating or just cause my wii's faulty. Its a real pain cause when ever I wanted to play it I would have to unplug it from the wall and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Im just started unpluging everything when Im not using it now.

Not sure if this has been brought up, but im not going to read through 30+ pages of stuff to find this. Ok so here's the problem. The Wii console is getting power obviously because the standby light is on. However the light is Red. The on/off button wont turn it off or on. The reset switch wont do anything and the disc slot wont let me feed a disc into it. Anyone know whats wrong with it? Am I going to need to send it away for a replacment?
