If it came out 6 months from now I think it was already a bit too late.
And don't forget the beloved mods that you play with for a good 15 minutes before you get bored of them would take 1~2 years at least to come out.

They (and by they I don't mean these guys specifically) alllllllllllllllways do that, honestly its just to pull traffic to them.

You think R* went ahead and phone them to start taking pre orders? You can never trust this kind of stuff, ever.

(...)The amount of power the PS4 offers for the price its at is simply amazing. Just bananas. Power per dollar NOTHING touches the PS4. PS4 is one of the greatest values ever, especially if you add the value of PSN+(...)

I agree but still not getting one for a couple of years at least, there are two reasons for that:

1. Every console I bought on early release as died on me, while my 1998 PS1 still works, my early PS2 & PS3 died, and my second PS3 I had to replace the HDD.

2. I have an amazingly long back log to play on the PS3 because I always end up on my PC, I've literally bought games for 60€ that I still haven't touched, and quite frankly I think thats criminal.

It would be nice for the game to not look like shit, but who really cares anymore

Also, those images are modded GTA IV not the way it was actually released

I was thinking the same thing.

And if you are gonna compare anything, be fair, to run GTAIV like that you need a PC with MUCH more processing power than the PS360.
So a fair comparison would be PS360 vs PC WITH PS360 SPECS, wanna try that out?

A comparable PC would be a Pentium 4, GeForce 7600 (and that can allegedly outperform the GPUs of the PS360) and the all important 512MB of RAM, because you people loooove to forget that.

So what can a PC with THOSE SPECS run?

Although the GeForce 7600 has (had) some punch, its dragged down by that P4 and SPECIALLY the 512MB of RAM (so that means WinXP too, by just), so you couldn't possible play GTAIV AT ALL, San Andreas is what you could hope for with that amount of RAM on a system like that, and you wanna know what that looks like side by side? Do you? Well lucky for you I just had some time to kill, so enjoy:

something that almost everyone ignores as if it was insignificant but it's HUGE. People only want to talk about graphics which are great and of course the PC is the best but it's supposed to be the best if you invest in expensive hardware.

But there is something else that is a huge advantage that is never mentioned here. And that is something that I think is the most important factor that gives the PC a huge advantage over all of the next gen consoles.

That is backwards compatibility. If you own a PC, you can play games all the way back to the original diablo, fallout and even games such as morrowind without any problems.

Not only that, but you never lose your entire software library every few years when a new gen appears. I have over 100 games on steam and it's just awesome that I can go there and play anything I want and now that the next gen is here I can just add next gen games to my library.

With consoles, if you go to the next gen you have to really lose all your previous games because no one is going to have that much hardware connected to their tvs. You're not going to have a 360, X1, PS3, PS4, PS1 and Xbox just to play older games. And I didn't even include the Nintendo consoles.

But even if you did have all those consoles, you would still have to be switching all sorts of disks around on all the consoles to just play those games.

With PC there is no disk swapping, everything is in my hard drive and I can just switch seamlessly between games. Everything is compatible and works just so great.

Oh yea and the graphics are better too.

No you can't, that's stupid.

Playing BladeRunner or Grim Fandango isn't as easy as putting in the disc and you play! You have to run it through Virtual Machine with another key for Windows 95/98. And it doesn't always work smoothly, depending on the game there can be conflicting issues with the drivers and graphic cards.

Yes, you can play retro games, but it's not easy, it takes effort. Whereas if you wanted to Play Final Fantasy 7, just put the disc into the PS1. Easy.

PC is awesome, but consoles are awesome too. Fanboys, however are stupid. Yeah, you fanboys on both sides. Go away.

^This! Listen to this guy.

Grim Fandango, I thought I was the only one who played that.

I don't know what on earth you're talking about. Microtransactions and Day 1 DLC and Season Passes are *not* popular and highly accepted among gamers whatsoever.

And Gamestop is closing because digital sales are taking up a larger percentage of game sales, and that trend will continue. They are a business. They cant just stick around losing money so you can have a place to browse games. Its not a charity.

I.....honestly don't understand your concerns or anything at all. It seems born out of a very warped view of popular opinion and a naivety when it comes to the reality of businesses needing to make money(that goes for game developers and publishers as well).

But in the end, I think gaming is as good as its ever been. We still get loads of incredible games every year, there's a huge surge of high quality indie games that are booming with creativity, and virtual reality is right around the corner.

You make some good points, but gaming is NOT as good as its ever been.

At best you can say somethings are better, somethings are worst.

Indie games on consoles for example, gone are the days you had to get them burned on the demo disc of the official magazine as the only way of distribution.

But you can't deny games in general are much more "corporate" now a days, a guy in a suit that never finished or even played a single game on his life shows up and decides whats what in too many cases because devs only have so much freedom.

@stuff238 said: PC gaming sucks because I don't like RTS or MMO. That is 99% of the game library. Using WASD for movement is idiotic. You will never change my mind.

You could have done a better job here, like ctrl key to fire in Doom?

I still have that on floppy discs somewhere.

This is a bit embracing but I have to tell you, this is not a new point, its been brought up as long as the internet has been around.

Because most of the peasant game reviews are either paid - or made by a fanboy. Like TLOU which is a good example of overrated game, but it just happens to be made by naughty dog come at me, peasant. And yes I have completed the game, it was average.

The time it took to make that gif was time a MasterRace dude had nothing better to do with his glorious PC while a console player was actually having fun playing a video game.

prove it

Consoles just play games, can't make/edit vid->gifs on consoles.

So those netflix, amazon instant, music apps, blu-ray players, etc are just for show?

And all of those are still a fun time, not "let me specifically waste my time doing something to target a demographic I don't particularly like for no apparent reason other than make myself feel better".

Point proven.

Oh, so you're the only person who determines what is a fun time?

No, theres a lot of messed up people doing some crazy messed up stuff because they think its fun.

If bully/target a demographic is your cup of tea go ahead and do it.

Now you can drop it because you're not gonna win this argument, you haven't come up with one yet after all.

No, i've just pointed out where you're wrong.

Good day

Just read up, you can tell your hands from your feet, you're just trying to look clever and you can't come up with a single counter argument.

That gif took time, it was made with the sole intention to bully/antagonize console players, I don't even have to go beyond that to "prove" my original post as you requested.
