First play through 16 ish hours on Titan. First GoW I have finshed too (gotta get the GoW collection).
There was about 3 spots that I got stuck for nearly an hour on though in terms of combat.

Disappointment doesn't mean don't like.
I'm a big GOW fanboy but even I got disappointed because after GOW 2, I expected something more. Something to kick it up that extra notch because God of War 2 was one of the best games on the PS2! This game didn't do that for me. This game felt like Chains of Olympus - awesome production values but it left me wanting more. I don't imply the game length, more like you know story... I felt they could do a lot of justice for Kratos, but they choose not to bother.
It's like the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy - first was awesome, second one had that awesome cliffhanger, and third was a big disappointment. GOW 3 is like that to me.
And as to the above arguments - woah, this is a discussion. Does it matter if another person thinks its a disappointment for him? It's suddenly fair for you to judge his taste? Should another person who got disappointed affect your experience with the game? No.
And to the comments with "There is always a minority that gets disappointed with games?" Yes, there is. I'm a big GOW fanboy, but that doesn't stop me from seeing where the series has faltered.
But mark this everyone - this is an awesome game in terms of overall gameplay and there are few games which compare to it. But this seems to be the weakest in the series.
Bah, I'll have my disappointments end when the new God of War game comes out ;)
(Basic gist of what I said is - just because certain people are disappointed, it doesn't mean that you guys have a right to judge them or their views. It's their paradigm guys. Chill out.)

when I see people complaining about the length of a game when it is 10 hours long I get upset because I know they are playing on the little boys and girls difficulty.
9 times out of 10 the only complaint people have for this game is that its too short. Stop playing it on the little kid difficulties people.
....
Next time you type that, you should honestly look at which user you are talking to...
This thread was in the time of GOW 2. I was doing a TM: NUR (Very Hard Mode - No Upgrade Run) and this thread details how I completed my run. This is I think the second last page of me completing my run. If you want further proof, you can go back some pages and see for yourself. And in that thread you'll also notice I do the NURs for the first game too, one of which is a GM : NUR - Very Hard Mode No Upgrade Run...
And I'm currently doing a GOW 2 TM: NUR + (with unupgraded health and magic) and GK:TM:NUR (General Kratos: Very Hard Mode : No Upgrade Run)... This run was pending for almost 3 years, but I finally got back into it.
So before you say I "play at little kid difficulties" I want you to read the above and then try telling this to me.
And I started GOW 3 on Titan... I always started the GOW games on Hard mode for first playthrough because I know the game is cakewalk on the lower difficulties. I did this for my first playthroughs in GOW 1,2, Chains of Olympus and 3.
...
like I said most people who complain play it on the easy difficulties. you clearly aren't one of them. cry me a river. most people ******* in here cry about length in games and play on easy difficulties and wonder why they run through them so fast.
First GoW game I have beaten. (never really played my ps2 when those games came out)
First play through was on Titan mode and it took me approximately 16 hours to beat the game. There was like 3 spots where I was getting my *** kicked for like a total of 3 hours though...probably took up like 3/4ths of my deaths too lol.
I need to make one more run to pick up a few trophies. I'll just do it on the easy modes.
Not an understatement. This game is beautifully crafted that it raises the bar, not only for the series, but for all games. I am so beyond happy with this game. I almost at the end but, and let me make this clear, replayability comes from the core game being FUN therefore you WANT to play it more. I didn't know there was no new game plus but I only did that once in God Of War 2 anyways.[QUOTE="Chaos_Bladez"][QUOTE="Ultrabeatdown55"]
The greatest game I have ever played.
positivebalance
Best game I ever played was either Counter-Strike (1.3-1.6) while playing competitively in online leagues. Or Zelda Ocarina of time. Ascherons Call was pretty DOPE too (MMORPG).
I am surprised you think the original God of War is better. I played like .... 3/4ths of the way through the first one, didn't play the second one and I have to say that I am personally enjoying 3 much more than I did the first.
Mind if I ask you what you liked more? I am just curious =]
yeah man it looks like there is an issue with your HDMI cable. Hopefully your buddy on monday will bring some magic with him
[QUOTE="KapG"]I had this happen to me.
Turns out my first hdmi cable I had was twisting a little near the plug part of it....I think the wires got all messed up inside the cable because I went out and bought a new one for like 10$ and everything started working fine.
I would suggest trying a new HDMI cable on it if you have one laying around the house. If not, go out and buy one. Just remember to keep the bill so that you can return it if the new one still doesn't work.Hexagon_777
I have a friend coming over Monday and he will bring his HDMI cable. I suppose I should be working anyway. Still, I never moved the darn thing so why would it spontaneously screw up?
I don't know why it would spontaneously screw up lol. Mine was from moving my console from the basement TV to the one in my room a bunch of times.
Hopefully your buddies HDMI cable will work. If it does it will be an easy fix for you. Best of luck.
I bet your HDMI cable is broken.

They're horrible - like every year. I feel like I'm living the movie "Major League" without the successes
