why is it stupid that enemies respawn at an outpost when you clear it out? JEeze man, its an open world game and if they DIDNT respawn, eventually there would be no guys to fight while traveling from mission to mission? That would make the game alot more...uneventful.

Besides the point of the outposts isn't to clear them out. To "unlock" one of the 57 you need to use your minocular I think its called. ANyways bring up ur map and press L1. Just like in the Tutorial bro.

already bought fallout 3. Probably get LBP sometime down the road. CoD WaW (love good WW2 single player stories).

ABout far cry 2 being "inferior" on the ps3...iunno man, game looks pretty flawless to me.

Its only in 720p sure but its not upscaled or anything. The 360 version is "1080p" but its upscaled so its not even true. I'd rather have a native 720 game then an upscaled 1080.

This game is great! I've logged about 9 hours and i'm only 4% complete :P which works out to 3 of 33 of the main missions done. What have I been doing? Well I've Scouted out around 31 outposts and I've got to have atleast 70% of the safe houses. Also done 10 of 40 side missions.

That thread that goblin linked...LOL the first page is just complaining by about 2 people. Nor do either of them give any REASONS for disliking it and saying it sucks. They just say "Oh the AI is dumb" (try turning up the difficulty...hahahahahaha), "Enemies can't die, too much health" (Once again im playing on hardcore and an enemy will die with around 3 ak shots to the chest...some times 4. Always drop with 1 bullet to the head, pistol too), "so many glitches" (won't name one...just keep claiming there are tons of them), "It's repetitive" (well sure the gun missions can be repetitive where you go to blow up convoys...but...think about it, this is how these weapons are transported. Makes sense you would have to blow up moving trucks. Besides there are a wide variety of missions...rescue missions, recon missions, assissination missions etc.)

This is not your normal FPS where they guide you through every level. You have the freedom to go about things how you like in this game. You can snipe enemies out, roll in with your mounted .50 cal and destroy people, go rambo with machine guns, grenades, rpg's OR if you like you can distract the enemies by setting the land on fire which allows you to roll around and shoot them while they are all wondering wtf is going on.

If you originally wanted to get this game I would say trust your gut. Honestly, you are the one who is going to be playing the game. Not sure why you want to listen to the bashers with no input to give. If someone says they don't like the game, they should atleast give some reasons...and they shouldn't be vague like the above examples.

In terms of enemies respawning at an unacceptable rate. Even on hardcore I haven't found this to be the case.

Now, if you clearout a safehouse those guys will never respawn there. If you go wipeout a enemy guard post and leave the area and then come back...well...yah the guys will be respawned. But the idea isn't to kill them anyways right, the idea is to use your map and press L1 for the minocular I think it is. Then you take the picture on the ammo, or health crate you know.

So yeah, the enemies respawn but only at spots really where they should be respawning.

I can't pass judgement on how repetitive the main missions are...at the moment I am just unlocking safehouses and searching out guardposts while also hitting the antena missions and convoy ones.

I hear the game gets pretty sweet man. One guy was sayin how he was on a mission where he has to paraglide into a mercenary encampment...assassinate two guys , stealthy...and then he needs to hightale it out of there before noon or something!

Haven't had a chance to try and snipe a moving target as of yet...Hmmm, we shall see. As for the A.I. being stupid, thats weird because I can't sneak up on ANY of them no matter how hard I try. Then again I am playing the game on hardcore? What difficulty were/are you playing it on?

As for the repetitve missions....concerning the convoy truck ones. What do you want to have to do? The guy wants you to eliminate his competition, the weapons of his compeittion are in these trucks. Sure they "go around in a circle". Well, yes they do...but its quite a large circle, and besides, what do you want them to do....drive ALL over the map? The world is too large.

Just to cover one of your last complaints about not seeing many civilians. HRmmmm, I seem to recall hearing early on from the guy you get your first audio recording from that all HIS friends (and most everyone) had escaped the land and if they hadn't they are in hiding waiting for a chance. This might explain why you don't see a lot of civilians. To touch note on why you are seeing just soldies, wellllll this is a warzone being controlled by two different factions...Kind of makes sense that you don't see all these different civilians.
