PS4 is significantly more powerful than the Xbone. The difference between multiplatform games will be much more noticeable this gen compared to last gen.

True. Most "PC gamers" have crappy PCs with integrated graphics cards and play mostly facebook games or solitaire. A every small minority have gaming rigs that are powerful.

It's bad news. It means the hardware in Xbone is weak and cheap garbage and M$ could have improved things if they invested the money they used on Kinect into improving the hardware. If they had used some of that money they used on Kinect on the hardware they could have secured GDDR5 RAM for the Xbone and gotten a more capable graphics card. Now people that buy the Xbone will be paying for more expensive inferior hardware thanks to Kinect.
I find it somewhat amusing that the question is even posed. The Consoles are even closer in terms of power than they were with the PS3/360.

The difference in power is equivalent to 3.5 xbox 360s. So how are they closer than the PS3 and xbox 360?
Both have 8GB's of Ram and both have 8 core CPU's.

PS4 uses GDDR5 RAM which is a lot faster than DDR3 that is used in XBone even with the ESRAM boost. The GPU on the PS4 is also has 700 Gflop advantage with more CUs than the one used in the XB1. The difference is bigger than last gen. I also forgot to mention that the PS4 has more RAM available for games than the XB1. 7GB on the PS4 and 5GB on the XB1.
