I wanted to add that I really tried to get a good PC for games and also, heavy eHarmony use. Can this rig handle eHarmony?

-Thanks

I got together with one of my friends who is really good with building and configuring PCs. This is the gaming/multi-use rig we came up with, what do you think?

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 Yorkfield 2.66GHz LGA 775 95W

Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)

XFX GS250XZDFC GeForce GTS 250 1GB Core Edition 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

Sony Optiarc 24X DVD/CD Rewritable Drive Black SATA Model AD-7240S-0B

-Thanks

Hey,

I have read that to play games on Steam, you need to have an internet connection at the time you want to play. I have used Direct2Drive, and it seems as if on there, once the game is installed, you don't need an internet connection to play. Are these statements true?

-Thanks

I think it does have a video card. Is this system a good rig?

-Thanks

Hey,

Is this a good system? Also, does it include everything? It seems as if it does not include everything such as a video card.

-Thanks

Alright, thanks, so Steam users and those who have the hard copy can play together online no problem?

-Thanks

Hey,

Is Steam the way to go for buying games for PC? Can someone playing a game from steam play with people who bought the hard cover or anywhere other than Steam?

-Thanks

Hey,

I want to buy the components for a good gaming PC in the $800-$900 range. That is without monitor. If anyone wants to help, let me know my best bet for all needed components.

-Thanks

Hey,

I am going to be buying a gaming PC. I don't know how to build, but, I have a friend that I could pay to build it. Is it definatley worth building, or are there sites that have good deals on pre-built? Also, which sites are best for each?

-Thanks
