No. The Ps2 controller fits perfectly in my hands and i think it's a great design. I can understand why some people want a different design.

You guys make my hands feel so small. lol Most controllers feel good to me, except the 360 controller. The only thing that should be fixed it the triggers, the sloped positioning makes it easy for fingers to slide off. And the analog sticks should be fixed up to, way easy to lose grip, but it's kind of always been like that.

And why do people keep complaining. Sony tried to redesign it remember, and everyone said they loved the old controller so you got it, just like you're getting rumble.

I would agree to some extent. Using a console to watch movies, browse the web and play online makes them look like PCs. But without the keyboard and mouse, they can never match PCs. I like my laptop for gaming even though it is low-end :)

On-topic, why does it even matter, if you're that concerned, don't play. You'll miss out though. I'm agnostic by the way, leaning slightly toward atheism. Seriously though, it's just a game, it's not going to brainwash you or anything.
