Definately suprised me. Its been a long time since an arcady looking game got such a high score. Quite refreshing to see though seeing as every high scoring game seems to be an FPS or huge name brand.

I get switching mice for left handed PC, but on a gamepad, would that be switching the sticks as well? Because with Xbox, I think if I was left handed, that wouldn't fly for me. I've always had it ingrained in my head that due to the position of the 360 sticks, one is just MEANT for moving your character. It would feel off if I had to aim with that stick.

That's because YOU are right handed.... it makes sence that way because that's what you've always done... just like I have the other way around.

Take the N64 controler for example... I used the stick with my left thumb.

Ok let me clear this up.

I'm left handed, so naturally my stronger hand should be used to control my aiming. I'm more dexterous with that thumb so it makes sence. The movement for me should be on my right hand.

Console games have had the option for left handed controls for years..... I simply don't understand why they would have it in the multiplayer but not the singleplayer.

If you wanna feel my pain right handed people - try playing with the left handed controls - that's what I was presented with when I tried singleplayer.

I really don't think the punishment system is necessary.... a votekick or timeout would suffice.

Exactly my thinking.... 2 seconds to code.... and means I effectively can't play the single player (not without about 4 hours of adjusting to the alternate controls).... not that I care much, FPS single player is generally a heap of crap....

Just went to try out Medal of Honor's single player.... only to find it doesn't have left-handed controls. The multiplayer does, but single doesn't.... WTF!?!?!?! Problem with having separate developers I suppose, but bloody stupid!

In a word. Yes. I've been playing games for as long as I can remember - my Amstrad was thoroughly worn out by the time I was about 6. I'm not going to claim that gaming has ever "saved" me from something horrible... but what it does is give me release. A release from everyday drudgery, a release from a country (UK) that seems to get more obsessed with "real life" every day. Television no longer gives us the spur of imagination that it once did. I could go on for hours about that - but I digress. Gaming is imagination - gaming is fun - gaming is social - and yes, gaming can improve you. The interaction with a story-driven game draws you in unlike any other platform. The competition of multi-player gives you enthusiasm to progress and become sharper, quicker and smarter. So its not the dexterity of your (now-worn-out) thumbs... or how fast you can click the mouse - its applying that stream of concious to your everyday life. I made my school exams a game - told myself it was just like winning a level - and dontcha know... it worked.... Turn it into something you can relate to, turn it into a competition. What worked for me over all these years may not work for you - i know plenty of people that may be better off ebaying their xboxes.... but not me! Anyway - I'd be pretty stuck without the release. Cheers. Haha - I've almost convinced myself! BooYA!
