The ninth generation... Do we need it so early?

Oh, what a wonderful day... My c|asses were so light that I learned something in all of them, what a rare thing that happened. Lunch was fine too, because my brother didn't went to college today, so he helped my mother to make it. In the afternoon, I had c|ass too, but it was sports c|ass, and we played soccer, it couldn't be better.

After my afternoon c|ass, I started to read about the games news, here at GameSpot, and I read the following news: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6341339/next-xbox-to-launch-in-2013-report?tag=updates%3Beditor%3Ball%3Btitle%3B1

For those who don't want to read, I'll tell what it's about. It says that Xbox 720 will be announced at the E3 2013, and it will launch after a short time of it's announcement.

As a game appreciator, I'm very anxious about a new videogame generation, but I was thinking: Do we need it so early? Because in my opinion, the PS3 and the Xbox 360 still have many things to give us and industry could still make big profits with them. For me, they can hold out until 2014 and hold out very, very well.

But otherwise, the Nintendo 64 was holding out very well when the Gamecube launched, and the Gamecube replaced the Nintendo 64 not perfectly (Seriously, it's the best videogame ever), but it did a very good job and the same could happen with the Xbox 720 and Playstation 4, they can replace the current generation and innovate with things like gameplay, graphics, sound, controller, design and size.

The best thing to do is wait and see what happens and if what they will do is going to succeed or fail.

A day to forget.

Yeah, maybe I should sleep more, because my mood is getting very, very bad. I woke up at the normal time today, 5:45 AM, but my day was horrible.

First, the school, that didn't helped to change my mood, because it was terrible. I had two double c|asses today, it was very tiring and annoying. The lunch wasn't that good today, because my mother hadn't time to make it better.

And well, as my morning was awful, the only thing I could do to save the rest of the day was sit here and play some Counter-Strike 1.6 or just surf on the internet. Well, I was pretty wrong, because as my brother was in my home too, my Ping on Counter-Strike 1.6 was ridiculously high, and all the websites were very slow, thanks to a 2 MB internet.

I don't know this only happen with me, but when my day is a crap, it just keep getting worse and worse, it's very revolting.

About the Platform Games, I was thinking if people got tired of them, because on the older generations, a good part of the games were Platformers, and with all the tecnology and new genres, that people created, they started to be forgotten by a great part of us, and now a good Platform Game is very rare to find. I mean, I can't remember of a good one to PS3 or Xbox 360, but I know one that might be a good one when it's released: Sonic Generations.

I'm putting a lot of hope on this game, as a big fan of Sonic and a Platform Games lovers, perhaps one of the few that still exist, what in my opinion, is very sad. Talking about great Platform Games, what happened to Crash Bandicoot, or Donkey Kong or Rayman?? Those three and many other games were wonderful, and it's a shame they are disappearing.

When one problem lead to another problem.

I overslept today, so I woke up at 6:00 AM, but thankfully I wasn't too late for school. School, as always, was very tiring, and all the time I was think if I could solve my problem.

The problem is: When someone answer the phone, the Wi-Fi signal is cut. It is freaking me out, because everytime someone here mess with the phone, I lose the download or I am disconnected from a Counter-Strike 1.6 or Condition Zero server and all that kind of stuff.

When I came back home for lunch, the first thing I did was start to search how to resolve this. I figured out that the frequency of devices could mess with the frequency of other devices, so what I had to do was just change the frequency of my Wi-Fi and everything would be okay, right?

Nope. I changed the frequency and the phone signal wasn't messing up with the Wi-Fi signal anymore, but then I started cleaning the house and after I finished it, I tried to turn on my computer, but the monitor wasn't showing anything. I freaked out and thought my video card was burned, but fortunately I was wrong. I remembered that old monitors had the signal messed up when near cellphones started to rang, and I thought that maybe I changed to a frequency that don't mess with the phone but now mess with my monitor.

Yeah I was right, so I went to my dad's laptop and there I reconfigured the Wi-Fi signal, and then my monitor showed my Desktop. I'm not going to change the frequency of the Wi-Fi , now I'm going to change the phone frequency and I think this might resolve my problem.

I gotta go now, because all this frequency stuff made me delay my homework, and I am very

Sorry...

Sorry guys, but today I'm not going to talk about anything. Sorry about that, but I still have to study for Biology, so I don't have time even to talk about my day.

That's it, at least for now, thank you for your time,

This is what happens when you discover the truth.

About the Platform Games, sorry again, but I'm going to delay the subject for tomorrow or for Tuesday.

Today, me and my best friend played Counter-Strike 1.6, so we could practice a little bit. We are part of the same team, so we know what each other do, the weak points of one and all those stuff.

But, I realized something. I'm not good as I think. I mean, I practice almost every day, and I just try to be better on it, but it's like if a good part of the other playes are one or two steps ahead from me. My friend don't even train every day, but he's very, very skilled on Counter-Strike.

A lot of things are passing through my head now, like should I practice some more? or Is it worth? Because I'm not 100% sure if I really want to be a PPL. I like playing Counter-Strike, it's nice, and I have fun with my friends, but live of playing it... Maybe that's not what I really want.

But the question is: If I don't want that, then what I want to my life? Because honestly, I still don't know the answer to this question.

That's it, at least for now, thank you for your time,

Everything needs inspiration.

In my opinion, inspiration is the key to do something. Because if you do something but you didn't wanted to do that, you don't do it as the same way as you would do if you wanted to.

I woke up at 9:10 AM, and I wanted to play my N64. But for some reasons I just didn't made it. My day basically consisted in playing Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and eating candies.

Very sedentary, I know, but it's just to break my routine, hahaha.:)

Coming back to the inspiration subject, I planned to talk about Platform Games today, but I'm not inspired to do it. Don't worry, tomorrow I'll write about it. I want to discover why this genre is disappearing and if there are some new and good Platform Games on the current generation of Video Games.

New hope to the lovers of the Rareware games.

Oh, what a wonderful morning... I didn't had school today, so I woke up at 10:00 AM. Ate my breakfast, brushed my teeth and came here at GameSpot. In the headlines I saw about the creation of the Starfire Studios.

I didn't had any idea of what it was about, so I checked out. The Starfire Studios is a new company, but it's not just that. The company was created by four teamed up ex-Rareware developers. The team consists of programmer Mark Edmonds, designer Chris Tilston, and artists Ross Bury and Phil Dunne, who have collectively previously worked on the Killer Instinct franchise, the Perfect Dark franchise, and the Halo franchise.

For me it wasn't just a new company of games. It's much more than that, it's a new hope. A new hope for those who want the old Rare back. The that Rare from Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Perfect Dark, Goldeneye 007 and not the Rare from Kinect Sports.

Maybe this team still have that old and feeble flame Rare used to have, and I hope they can make this flame strong again.

I don't know what kind of game they are going to do, or if they are going to buy the rights of some of the Rare games, like Banjo-Kazooie, but only if they can make me feel the feeling I had when I played some many c|assics of Rare, I'll be happy as I used to when play my good and old Nintendo 64.

There are only two options in our lives. Which one to choose? (Xbox 360 or PS3)

Finally, after three days of delay I'm gonna talk about choosing a Playstation 3 or a Xbox 360 to buy. The idea came out when I became surprised of hearing the following news: Xbox 360 is now going to be produced directly in Brazil.

This means that the Xbox 360 price will drop here in Brazil, from R$ 1000,00 (USD 568,00) to R$ 800,00 (USD 455,00). In GameStop the price is USD 200,00 (R$ 352,00). Those are the prices for a Xbox 360 Slim 4GB, the most basic set avaliable. Despite the price drop, things are much more expensive here in Brazil compared to other countries, like USA, especially when talking about games.

This made me think: Why we pay much more to buy games in Brazil compared to the other countries? The answer is called tax. First of all, in Brazilian's Constitution, videogames fit in the same taxes of gambling. I get angry just of talking about this, because it's absurd!

The second reason for the high prices are the elevated taxes imposed to imported products. Those two, combined, results in what we pay for games and all that kind of stuff.

Now back to choosing one instead of other, the Xbox 360 being produced here is a good thing and will incentivate the costumers to choose Xbox 360 and not PS3. One other thing that would make me choose Xbox 360 are the games, because Xbox 360 have more games of my type. I grew up playing games like Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64 and Mega Man 64, that are considerated more naive, but that's the kind of game I like. In the Xbox 360, I could play games like Banjo-Kazooie - Nuts & Bolts, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Perfect Dark, Perfect Dark Zero ad Conker - Live & Reloaded, but I could also play some multiplatform games like Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 and The Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion.

The main reason to make me buy a Xbox 360 is the possibility of piracy. Yeah, I know it's, first of all, a crime, and it's not cool, I mean it's nice to contributed with those who created the game, but seriously, it's abusive the prices we pay for the games. For example, here in Brazil, PES 2012 costs R$ 200,00 (USD 114,00), while in GameStop, it costs USD 60,00 (R$ 106,00). My point is: We pay the price of two games when we are actually buying one, that's ridiculous.

One of the disvantages of having an Xbox 360 is that you must pay to play online, and, despite not knowing if that's true, I hear people saying that multiplatform games for the Xbox 360 have worst graphics compared to the PS3.

The Playstation 3 is MUCH more expensive compared to the Xbox 360, because here in Brazil, it costs R$ 1200,00 (USD 682,00), while in GameStop, it costs USD 250,00 (R$ 440,00). Those are the prices for a Playstation 3 Slim 160GB. But dispite being more expensive, play online is free, and in my opinion, the PS3 Controller is more comfortable than the Xbox 360 Controller. Moreover, the PS3 Controller is powered by internal and rechargeable battery, but the Xbox 360 Controller, it's powered by two AAA batteries, which means that on the PS3 you don't have to spend with battery.

The PS3 also have some exclusive games that really make the difference, like Gran Turismo 5, Uncharted and Metal Gear Solid 4, but the biggest part of PS3 are First-Person Shooters or games more bloody, like Killzone 3 and Demon Souls, not that I don't like this type of game, but they aren't my preference.

One of the problems of having a PS3 is the impossibility of piracy (which, thinking very well, is VERY good, but when I'm paying two games to have only one, it's not that nice), so I could only buy original PS3 games.

I still haven't decided which one to buy, but this don't make any difference, because I don't have money to buy any of the two.

Well, I think that's I have to say about which one to choose, if anyone wants to add something or suggest something to me, just comment and I'll answer it.

That's it, at least for now, thank you for your time,

Damn school tests.

Allright, I don't have much time to talk, because I really have to study for my Chemistry test tomorrow. I want to talk about choosing a PS3 or a Xbox 360, but my life don't let me do it, but that's ok.

I woke up today at 9:15 AM, because I didn't had c|ass today, thanks to a National Holiday.:)

I played some Banjo-Tooie today on my PC, and of course I played a lot of Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Condition Zero.

Lunch wasn't that good today because I ate fast-food. I'm studying for Chemistry since 5:00 PM, and I still have a lot to do so I can't extend all the post, sorry guys. Tomorrow, without any, any extending I'll post about Xbox 360 or PS3, so wait for the post and excuse me for the delay.

That's it, at least for now, thank you for your time,

Sleepy like a lazy bear.

Well, today I promised to talk about about buying or a Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3. Unfortunatelly, I'm very tired, and I prefer to write about this subject tomorrow with a good theory instead of write about it today without arguments.

I woke up at 5:45 AM and had my Literature C|ass soon, at eight o'clock. After that I had two Biology c|asses and I almost killed myself, because they really suck.

I came back home at 1:15 PM, lunched and played Counter-Strike 1.6 until six o'clock. Then, I took my shower, slept a little bit, had dinner and here am I!

About the test I think I scored 8 of 10, a good score, so I'm happy and I'm waiting for the official results of the test.
