it tries too hard to be a multimedia device. people want to play games, which psp is not very good at It succedes at being a multimedia device, it is just when you pay $200 for a handheld it better do stuff besides gaming. Because of its multifunctionality PSP appeals to many people.
The thing is that the majority of people buying PSPs are for their kids. Adults have this little thing called cellphones that meet and exceed the multimedia functionality the PSP possesses. Kinda ironic since adults are going more DS crazy than PSP crazy, don't you think? well most people cant put 3 starwars films on their phone simultameously no.... why would you want to wtch a movie on a cellphone. i don't even want to watch it on a laptop... too small. let alone wtaching it on something like a PSP... UMD =dumbest idea ever.

this is where the psp shines..........given it has a better resolution that most cellphones and the psp LCD makes it much more better

Able to project holographic images. XBOX360 or so graphics. Larger screens. Better Online. Anyways , the above 2 ..won't happen , i know it. A better stylus. More durable , From the second floor and not even a tiny scratch? Hah. Better sound systems. More comfortable.
