I can't find a review archive for it anywhere. Them being S-E's biggest cheerleader, I wouldn't doubt it. Rather than give a "number series" FF game anything lower than a 36, they'll just pretend it didn't exist.

The main story is linear.

My point exactly. People are mistaking diversions for non-linearity.

Famitsu rates games to maintain the gaming industry status quo in Japan, which is why Musou games rate high and non-spinoff FF games are all near perfect works of art that Da Vinci would be jealous of. When PS3 was in trouble, they had the nerve to rate Lair a 34/40...

I always found this "demerit" strange.

You always have to do A,B, and C in the main storyline to get to D in an RPG. I feel that when people say as RPG "isn't linear", they're really trying to say, "It has a lot of sidequests and diversions to make clearing the game easier". That's all well and good, but you still need to follow that corridor of doom to complete the story after all that is done."

I think he means that it would need to sell that many to overtake the 360 (you assume the 360 will sell something in the next 6 months :P ), rather than its 7 mil behind

mrmusicman247

He made the mistake in believing shipped units = sold units.

Year isn't over. Now shush and buy some games. mrmusicman247

You must believe in miracles like the Jackson Sisters. :P

I didn't know the year ended in June.

lundy86_4

Yeah...and the PS3 will sell 7 million in 6 months and Nintendo will go out of business. Riiiight.

Why would they need to garner 7 million in sales? Official numbers that were last released put the PS3 much closer in shipped units than 7 million :?

Anything could happen. The PS3 could totally sell seven million in the next six months. And Nintendo will eventually go out of business. Happens to every company.

Even in their rollout years, neither system sold that many in one year, let alone half a year. And "Eventually" is not the context Patcher meant it in. He said it in the context that Nintendo's refusal to embrace "social gaming" like Farmville is going to kill the company. Hogwash.

Seriously, this guy is wrong more than Nostradamus was with his predictions for the 20th Century. And his "Nintendo is doomed" line dooms him to even greater fails in the gaming arena.

When is he ever right?
