They aren't jumping ship. They won't leave SONY completely. They are making FF13 in japan just on the playstation 3. The reason they are making it on 360 is strictly for US and UK's fanbase
Your not missing anything with MGS4, my friend bought a PS3 with Metal Gear and he took it back in like 3 days. We played it and I remember there was one cutscene that was going on 17 minutes when we skipped it so it still had more to go. Its not good. Its ok at best.

wow if you are skipping cutscenes no wonder you didn't like the game. The cutscenes are half the game. Even without the cutscenes MGS4 would still qualify as a GOOD game if not GREAT. with them it's EXTRAORDINARY
I love the achievements. Gives me something more to do then to just run through a game. I would never use my gamerscore to make anyone else feel smaller. If someone does then they are quite the loser.
well i updated and my games are loading quite a bit slower but i haven't had it lock up yet.. initial load time is about 3x longer then it was for me before the patch
