For those of you who don't know, a book called Tender Morsels came out in July. It was a young adult retelling of Snow White and Rose Red that included obscene language, incest, sexual situation, a forced abortion, and a gang rape. Several parents were upset at the content and that Random House, the publisher, hadn't informed them of what was in the book. I have seen books with 'suggested for ages x-y' on them, but that's usually just an indication of how much skill you'd need to read the book. Does anyone think there ought to be parental advisory, or even an age rating placed on books in general, or just young adult books?
