Yeah... funny that... This card has amazing performance (equals a Titan when overclocked) but the price is just way too steep. There was a time when the top of the line card in a new series cost no more than £400. Now all they've done is keep the price of the 6 series cards the same and priced the 780 in the middle of the 680 and Titan.SO it's here RRP $650

£550 at Dabs
Strange that $650 converts to £430, yet thats turned into £550.....just weird.

To answer this question yes it is possible but alot of factors have to be taken into account. A top of the range PC from the end of 2006 (Q6600, 8800 GTX) can play games that are being released now at low settings so there's 2 generations worth. It's certainly not fun having to lower your settings though.also if you spend money into a rig, can you get a rig that can go 2 generations of a console? like if i build a PC back when the PS3 came out and and go into the PS4 generation can that be done?acsam12304
This is where things start to get disappointing. I'd be pretty unhappy if I were unable to max a game with $2000 worth of hardware..[QUOTE="Kilew"][QUOTE="FaustArp"]
Yeah, those are on my PC. i7 2600k @ 4.4 GHz, 2x GTX Titan @ (1137|1124)/6840.
The benchmark program is included with the game, go here to get it:
D://Steam/steamapps/common/MetroLastLight
The program is MetroLLbenchmark.exe

I can max it just fine with SSAA turned off, and that isn't needed at all at the resolution I'm playing it at. I can't actually tell the difference with it on when I tested.
It's running great, in a few hours of gameplay I haven't seen it drop below 60 fps once, not even for a moment. :D
Your benchmark is showing a minimum fps of 27 though, with prolonged periods at 30 - 40 fps. Perhaps i'm nitpicking but as someone that is very sensitive to framerate drops, especially in first person shooters, I wouldn't be happy with the optimization they've done here.
I mean dude.. you have two GTX Titans, a config better than 99.99999% of everyone else playing this.
There is another option. If you really don't want to spend a great deal of money you could pick up an old 6800 gt (make sure it is AGP) from Ebay for £10-15.
As long as you don't want to play anything recent it would give you a good boost in older games from the mid-2000s. This does raise another problem though in that you may need a Power Supply upgrade as well.

Are those 1600p benchmarks on your system ? (if so what program do you use to make those charts)

I'd be pretty unhappy if I were unable to max a game with $2000 worth of hardware..his pc is based on an AM3 cpu chip and the mobo is an 880G chipset. thats makes it impossible to be AGP based Wasn't talking about AGP. Nevermind though, didn't realise he'd linked the motehrboard in an earlier post.[QUOTE="Kilew"]
Are you sure his motherboard even has a Pci-E slot?
I'd probably just look for a second hand Nvidia 8600/Radeon 5770 on Ebay

$599 = 599 = £599 as usual
Hello, as i'm sure you know you use a series of Game Emblems in your reviews.
I'd like to be able to search, or even filter, by the game emblems given to individual game reviews.
So for example, i'd like to be able to search for games that 'suck you in' or immerse yourself in the gaming world.
Possible to create this?
It didn't work for me, kept crashing every time I tried to enter a new area. Which is funny considering the original Deus Ex works flawlessly on Win7.
I had to play it using Windows XP.
