Killzowner's forum posts
I'm just gonna post what killed the last GT5 vs. FM3 thread:
Gran Turismo is all about the quality and quantity of the content and how it's presented. GT has always been about making the racing sim genre appeal to the mass audience. Forza Motorsport is about the things you can do with that content and the ability to customize it to your liking. It's more about expressing yourself through the automobile. Two very different apporaches to what a racing sim should be.
I don't even know why we still compare them like this anymore..
sounds like forza 3 is sounds like its relying on gimmicks and gt5 will be a true sim racer.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JkBXdjGnX4 there you go, Proof. and make sure you start timing when it actually starts loading (Says LOADING NOW), not during the startup screen, because bluray start up screens are always longer. but load times are smooth sailing :) Enjoy!.[QUOTE="Killzowner"][QUOTE="Doolz2024"]Funny, because it's actually the complete opposite for me. Load times were slightly longer on the 360 version before installing, but after installing, it's now around 5-6 seconds faster than the PS3 version.Threebabycows
If the start up screens are longer you still have to wait:lol:.
start up screens are once, load times are all over. Also startup screens arent mid game lol.[QUOTE="Killzowner"][QUOTE="Doolz2024"]Unless you have a PS3 and 360, and have installed games on both, don't bother arguing with me. I've installed Fallout 3 and GTA4 on both my PS3 and 360, and load times are the same if not slightly faster on the 360 after installing on each one. Before I installed Fallout 3 on the 360, it took around 15-20 seconds to load. Now it takes about 3-5 seconds, roughly the same as the PS3 version of the game.Doolz2024lol now i dont know what to say becaus i have time load times in gta4, and it is 8 seconds shorter on ps3 version. go ahead try it out, when it says "now loading", see which one is shorter. :)Funny, because it's actually the complete opposite for me. im gonna have to agree with you. an expansion rehash of an old game? no way its going to be AAA, IF, IF it even gets reviewed. There's no way Halo: ODST is going to be AAA.

[QUOTE="Killzowner"][QUOTE="Doolz2024"]PS3 versions of multiplats don't even have that advantage anymore since you can now install games to the 360's HDD. Load times on 360 versions of multiplats are just as short if you install. The_Game21xeven with install they dont match the ps3 load times. and for alot of ppl load times are very important in gaming. srry but blu ray is just more flexible then dvds because of extra space, less load times. And if you knew anything about what you're talking about, you would know that the read speeds of the PS3's Blu Ray drive are far below that of the 360's DVD drive. It's pretty much common knowledge that 360 games, in general, have faster load times. and if you knew anything about what your talking about you would know load times and read speeds have nothing to do with eachother because they are constant. if you watch a movie on blu ray rather then dvd, does the movie play slower? lmao.
