No, just kidding, I agree with you.
The funny thing is, is to check nearly every overrated thread ever made. Over half the replies will be Halo. Just because people seem to have some sort of personal vendetta against the game, and people liking it.

I've seen people criticize Gordon Freeman...I mean come on? He is more of an icon and avatar in the game, not a character. He really reminds me of Nick from the Great Gatsby (please dont ask why). IMO, he is a pretty damn good "character" when you consider how Valve chose to narrate Half-Life.

Isnt anyone else tired of these "Name the most overrated X"threads? IMO, they are just full of people bashing anything that is remotely popular and I'm sorry if this didnt deserve a thread but, they seem to be every other thread that is being made recently.

Same. FPSs were pretty awsome back in 04-06, when I was only a PC gamer :D

Doom 3
Half-Life 2
Battlefield 2
Unreal Tournament 2004
SWAT 4
Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty 4 (Its multiplayer was different and innovative but its a shame what it spawned)

Whats funny? There was ACTUALLY A DIFFERENCE among ALL of these games.

Lol want to hear the sad thing? All of these series' blow today with the exception of Half-Life (SWAT and Doom excused due to none being released). Dice were complete jokers with Bad Company, UT3 was a massive fail, F.E.A.R 2 was mediocre, Far Cry 2 was complete trash (no exaggeration unlike my BC2thread) and Call of Duty doesnt need to be explained :lol:

I hardly play FPSs nowadays, just focus on other genres too.
