The Wii's 2009 has already been awesome, and is going to be a hell of a lot more awesome at the end of the year.

This year's goodness up til now:

  • Grand Slam Tennis
  • Dawn of Discovery
  • Little King's Story
  • Rune Factory: Frontier
  • Another Code R
  • Swords&Soldiers
  • Wii Sports Resort
  • Nyxquest
  • BB Bash Party
  • Punch-Out
  • Klonoa
  • MadWorld
  • Bit.Trip Beat + CORE
  • HotD: OVERKILL

What's still in store:

  • Phantom Brave
  • Metroid Prime Trilogy
  • Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
  • Cursed Mountain
  • Muramasa
  • Dead Space: Extraction
  • Cave Story
  • TMNT Smash-Up
  • Rabbids Go Home
  • RE: Darkside Chronicles
  • Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
  • Super Meat Boy
  • New Super Mario Bros. Wii
  • A Boy And His Blob
  • Monado
  • Spyborgs
  • Animales De la Muerte

But this, of course, won't stop people who don't own or play the console to complain about the library. :D

Lothenon

Lol all those games fail and most are redundant expansions simply made for the purpose of grabbin yo mun33z. The other consoles have MOAR gamez and they are BETTAR k?

Mass Effect demonstrates a seamless integration of story, plot, character development, and gameplay. Lets see a JRPG do the same.

Lost Oddsey first you have to go to Gongora. Then you have to go to grand staff because you are trying to find out why it malfunction. Where you get caught so then you are hoping to see queen ming because you knew her. Then after finding out that Queen Ming was being controlled you go to Gongora is getting ready for war prepare for war against Numara. They go to get help and so on and so on. Well there were many side stories you have no question of where you were going and why.

Kaim character devolpment was there and the gameplay for Lost Oddsey was great also.

* WHAT are you caught for?
* Who's controlling Queen Ming and WHY?
* WHY is Gongora going to war against Numara?

I also outlined how Mass Effect has great gameplay that works with the story and plot, in how even with a well structured plot, you're still given the freedom to approach the missions as you see fit, to achieve your goals as you desire to, how you intreact with your party, and how you go about making the discoveries of said plot and story. How does Lost Odyssey stck up against that?

1) You are caught for invading Numara territory I believe.

2) Play the game more. Both are revealed =)

3) Gongora is going to war because he wants to take over the planet. Conquering Numara is part of the plan ma fren. Why? Because he believes that his race was placed there to take control of mankind.

[QUOTE="navyguy21"]Loved the campaign, but it should be a crime to make a SP so short :(SpruceCaboose

It was EXTREMLEY short. It needed a filler or two ya know?

IW said time and again they make the game length fit the narrative. They will not stretch narrative to fit a arbitrary game length. I applaud them for that, since the story should not play second fiddle just to artificially lengthen a game that already has a built in lengthener in MP.

Games are like movies and books. They should connect with gamers, and making them wade through 3 or 4 more cookie-cutter levels should not be happening. If you want more SP game, replay the game on a harder difficulty.

Bumping it up to Veteran to increase longevity already says something about the length of the game...

IW has said that the constant respawning of enemies has been taking out.

Thank god. Now I may actually be able to approach any situation tactically without having to worry about three more generic "terrorist d00ds" rushing at me, seemingly appearing from thin air and ripping me to peices.
