The real reason why OoT is back up (my topic was locked)

All because of some troll of Gfaqs managed to get a review taken off, only to have a higher one replace it:

It is a long read, but it is worth it.
the point is anyway...that Consoles can not match PC graphics...and if you actually think they can....well your just being naive.cobrax25
When the next wave of consoles come out, like always the graphics will better than PC's until the next round of upgradable parts are for sale of course.
[QUOTE="KingCotton462"][QUOTE="cobrax25"][QUOTE="KingCotton462"][QUOTE="AdrianWerner"][QUOTE="KingCotton462"]Actualy it does, because not only it has more details, but most of all the scale is beyong anything consoles could handle. You play it and you think : "now..this is something 360/PS3 could NEVER run"Crsysi looks good and has lots of motion blurr, but even that doesn;t look like you're running PC hardware that's several times as powerful and expensive as a console.

The only thing the consoles couldn't handle is the resolution, that detail hardly matters.
thats funny...since Crytek just said the exact opposite.
or what do you actually think Consoles could run the game at very high settings in 720P
Its called PR, and it didn't work since the game didnt sell enough and now they're making games for consoles too
so why would they still say that Crysis couldnt run on consoles in their last interview
and the game did sell well...above theirs and EA's expectations in fact, and over 1 million.
They would say anything, they even said the PS3 version would be enhanced.
Also it didn't sell enough to counter the rampant piracy.

Actualy no, they don't have enough memory to handle Crysis. Look at all console shooters, linear, with petite levels that are cut into small chunks. Crysis can't work like this. THe open and dynamic huge levels of Crysis are something consoles just couldn't handle.THat's what always have been a difference between console and PC games: scale and freedom. I could care less about graphical details
The 'chunk' style works, its also more efficient since you're not gonna be in every place all the time. The openness was one of the reasons why Crysis' campian was so boring, if not average. It least we were able to pick up crap and toss it into the brittle trees and sheds, that was fun...
