I'm sure this has already been asked; but wasn't the update today supposed to upconvert regular DVDs to 720p? I can't seem to figure out how to get it working.

That's why I'm rough with it. Because, so far, it hasn't been worth the $1000+ or so I've invested in everything for it between games, blu-ray movies, cords, etc. It'll be cool eventually but at the moment it's what I said, a good DVD/Blu-ray player. I own all three new systems. The PS3 is, at least, better than the Wii.
yeah i know, ive only played my ps3 on winter break and spring break so far so im not too bummed, when this semester ends Lair will be out and i can enjoy that till things start to pick up...my wii, i played wii sports for about a week, dl super mario world, and played some wario ware (game is boring after 2 hours)...not really impressed by anything yet, but im still not in rage mode yet
Yea for sure. I'm not mad that the PS3 doesn't have a lot of games, I just wish there were more. I think that both Resistance and Virtua Fighter 5 are pretty cool so at least I've got something to play.

Sorry to be a jerk, because I know you wanted faster replies, but gaming discussion does belong in either GGD or SW. This type of thread would be best suited for SW, though.

Optional? Kinda funny you say that really.. I mean isnt that like one of the main reasons to even buy a 360? Maybe. Maybe not. Considering roughly half of the people who own 360s have ever used Xbox Live I'd say it's still pretty optional when you get down to it. Ya I can see what you mean.. But I dont see how anyone could really experience the 360 without using LIVE at some point. I agree with you. But there are still many consumers out there who will buy the system and play it so infrequently that it wouldn't be worth it at all. Heck, there are still a lot of people out there who haven't made the jump to broadband, let alone having an HDTV (not that it's required, it's just a staple for maximizing the experience).
