Steam has had it's ups and downs. It's goods and evils. I suspect they will adjust again as their business model seems pretty good. They sell out in their own way and not in a shareholder corporate way that sells their soul. I think their independence from the open stock exchange has helped them keep gamers reasonably happy. As soon as you go public, all of your decisions must be about share price and de facto maximizing profit even for short term gains.

Short killing spree in the command vehicle. That thing is tough. 1:20 has funny kill.

It seemed to me about 5 years ago that the future of gaming was consoles. The next-gen console specs were released and were formidable. The number of PC games was dwindling, while more and more major releases were not even considering release on the PC. I was afraid that the future of PC gaming would be players interested in staying just ahead of the curve that could afford to drop $300 on a new video card every couple of years. Fast-Forward 5 years, we have PC game overload. The last few titles I have played enthusiastically have been through Greenlight and almost every game I have played (EXCL BF3,BF4) has been purchased through my Steam account. (Or at least registered, thanks Humble Bundle.) God bless Steam.
