Of course the campaign was a letdown if you didn't even pay enough attention to know when it takes place or care about finishing it for anything but rewards. By the in-game timeline, it's the first, set before all the other games. If they never shoehorned MP into an SP game in the first place, the SP would almost certainly be better. If you want MP and a don't care about story then go play CoD.
@Crosby721 - Janus is a Roman god so that could be problematic, the Hydra was in GoW1, Scylla was in GoS, no idea what Kampi (Empusa) is, Centaurs were in GoW1 & 3, Chimeras were in GoW3, Sphinxes & Charon were in CoO, the Phoenix, Typhon & Nymphs were in GoW2, Atlas was in GoW2 & CoO, Hyperion was in CoO (& possibly GoW3) & Satyrs have been in every GoW game,
GoW3 could've been better. Especially the storywriting. They also disappointed me when they claimed they had another titan fight + epilogue that they were planning for DLC and didn't deliver.
This is set right after he killed his wife/daughter, became the Ghost of Sparta and went from serving Ares to serving Athena. The chronological order for the games is (including this one but not counting a couple downloadable mini-games for PC/phone): GoW:A, GoW: CoO, GoW1, GoW: GoS, GoW2 and GoW3.
It was a decent game. first few level were better as they seemed to match their subject better than later levels that just threw random enemies together. Dark Forest is free with the Divine Edition, which at most places now costs as much as the standard version. The only real problem I had with it was the random enemy sets later in the game. Also, Dante's Inferno is inspired Dante Alighieri's 'The Divine Comedy' not God of War. It can remind you of it at times because you visit a few of the same places, but that's just remnants of Greek mythology in Christian mythology. Trials of St. Lucia is a great add-on. I'm somewhat of a perfectionist so I haven't uploaded any levels yet, but I have some saved that I've been working on off and on for a bit. Most annoying part is just trying to work with the point limit for how much stuff you can use in one round but they do give you a max of 25 rounds per map and a max of 6 maps so you could have a trial with 150 rounds if you wanted to. Which could potentially take longer to beat than the game itself. So basically, Dante's Inferno, brutal and sometimes gross combat and decent story retelling, environment was good, though slightly confining (which makes perfect sense, Hell's supposed to be confining) but it was confusing and annoying why I had to fight gluttons, seductresses of lust and greed minions when I was on Anger . Dark Forest is a very short story-related maze set (I think) just before the game starts and the only thing I think Trials of St. Lucia was missing was a boss level setting.
what free stuff can we get again? i know it's still gonna be a few days til we can get the stuff, i just wanna know so i can decide early which ones to get.
