Bratz Doesn't Give a Big Swig

Before I even saw the premiere of the show, Bratz this past Saturday - I knew it wasn't going to be one of my favorite shows. Unlike Magical DoReMi, this show didn't catch my attention at all. It was way to girly (just how I thought it would be). I didn't like this show too much at all. With Bratz, 4Kids TV continues to add exciting shows that appeal to girls ages 6 to 11. The 4Kids TV girls block currently includes the popular Winx Club and Mew Mew Power. Japanese animated hit Magical DoReMi also will join the girls block when the fourth season of 4Kids TV launches on Saturday, September 10, 2005. "We are delighted to have the Bratz girls join the strong 4Kids TV fall lineup," said Alfred R. Kahn, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of 4Kids Entertainment. "Bratz truly resonates with girls, appealing to their emerging sense of fashion and friendship. We feel this property is an excellent addition to expand our girls block on 4Kids TV." "The Bratz fans have been asking for a TV show for the past few years," said MGA Entertainment CEO Isaac Larian. "Their wish will finally come true! The people at 4Kids are passionate and entrepreneurial, and we are delighted to be working with them." The Bratz animated series follows the exciting adventures of Yasmin, Cloe, Sasha and Jade as they scoop stories for their hip teen magazine. Since their debut in 2001, more than 100 million Bratz fashion dolls have been sold worldwide. Also known as "The Girls with a Passion for Fashion," Bratz are known for their sassy style and attitude.

WWE SmackDown! Spoliers - Thursday, August 18, 2005 from Toronto, Canada!

This SmackDown! seemed very packed with awaiting surprises from this Sunday's SummerSlam. I hope you are enjoying and reading the SmackDown! spoilers I post. Thanks. SmackDown! opens with a ladder in the ring. Eddie comes out, and he got a huge pop and the crowd started a pretty loud "Eddie" chant. He said Teddy Long was right to make the only match that could settle this: a ladder match. He then went on to say that he is going to be the one to climb the ladder and get the papers, and he was going to win this match for all the fathers out there. Also he said that Dominick would become the greatest Guerrero of all and that this Sunday, he was going home with Eddie. Melina and Joey Mercury beat Booker T and Sharmell when Jillian tripped Sharmell when she was about to do the scissors kick. They played Chris Benoit’s Finger Eleven video. Then they showed Sharmell and Booker backstage, where Sharmell asked Booker where he was during the match (Joey Mercury held his leg while Melina pinned Sharmell) and she went on to say that she was there for him 24/7 and he better step up. Then they showed Benoit warming up backstage and Orlando Jordan came and said he better be ready for SummerSlam. Directly after, they showed Animal and Heidenreich backstage and Animal said it was time for Heidenreich to take the final step... and then gave him LOD shoulderpads. The whole crowd groaned. Animal and Heidenreich squashed a couple jobbers. Candice was the guest ring announcer. Candice was the highlight of the match. Heidenreich and Animal were announced as the Legion of Doom. Then Funaki interviewed JBL. JBL said Batista was stupid for letting him pick the No Holds Barred stipulation. He then went on to guarantee a win at SummerSlam, and said he gets to pick an opponent for a No Holds Barred match tonight, and than he chose Funaki. JBL faced Funaki in the No Holds Barred match and destroyed him. Right before he was about to beat him, Batista came out and beat JBL with a chair. He said that since JBL was making guarantees, he’d make one of his own: He said "this million dollar body and five cent brain would kick his a** at SummerSlam". Rey Mysterio faced Simon Dean. On his way to the ring, Simon told Rey he looked pathetic and that he could help. He said that because his family is shrinking, he offered to give him the Simon System at half off. Rey won with the top rope legdrop in a pretty short match. Rey seemed very upset throughout the whole match and wasn’t very enthusiastic. The Peep Show was next, and Christian came out to a huge pop. He said if you thought last week’s show was great when he interviewed Batista, this week he was going to interview the man who kicked Batista’s a** last week: himself. Then the Mexicools came out and started to destroy his set. They then proceeded to beat the hell out of Christian when he tried to stop them. Then the Mexicools all sat on the couch and they said their catch phrase about not being Mexican, but being Mexicools. Christian then left to a big ovation. Josh Mathews interviewed Rey and he said that he sees Eddie everywhere he goes. He then called Eddie a "son of a b****" and reminded us of how Eddie told Dominick he loved him and was coming home with him. Rey then said that Eddie may be Dominick’s biological father, but Rey raised him and he was his family. Then he said at SummerSlam, Dominick is coming home with him. Randy Orton beat Chris Benoit in a SummerSlam 2004 rematch, which took place in this arena. After the match, the lights went out and The Undertaker appeared. He chokeslammed Orton and ran his hand across his throat. He then left the ring with Orton laid out. They stared each other down as SmackDown! went off the air. Go Funaki!, Knight42092

Magical DoReMi Makes Some Magic

This past week I watched Magical DoReMi and I found it very interesting. This featured three girls named Dorie, Reanne and Mirabelle who are training to become witches so they can change Fatina back into a fairy (Fatina is now a green blob). Magical DoReMi started in Japan as Ojamajo Doremi, as a combination of "ojama" meaning "clumsy", and "majo" meaning "witch". The series originally aired February 7, 1999 on TV Asashi in Japan. It has been known as Magical Doremi in many other countries. In Japan, Ojamajo Doremi is composed of four series, Ojamajo Doremi (51 episodes), Ojamajo Doremi # (aka Ojamajo Doremi Sharp, 49 episodes), Mo~tto! Ojamajo Doremi (50 episodes), and Ojamajo Doremi DOKKA~N! (51 episodes). Here is a short description of the first episode (thanks to Matt_Purosky): Mirabelle and Reanne spy on Dorie in the Old Rusty Broom and find out Dorie is a witch, and say it, Dorie is afraid she will become a blob like Fatina did, but doesn't. Fatina makes Reanne and Mirabelle into witchlings, and Dorie, Reanne, and Mirabelle come up with the name "Magical DoReMi". Fatina mentions that Witchlings must buy magic droplets for their Magical Wandalers, which can only be bought by selling homemade goods. So Dorie, Reanne, and Mirabelle, much to Fatina's objection, changes the shop to the DoReMi Magic Shop. Fatina becomes mad that they renamed her shop at first but than she quickly understands that the witchlings have changed the shop name for beneficial reasons.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Joins Miguzi in October

Most people have heard of the popular television and card game entitled, "Yu-Gi-Oh!". Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, a next-generation version of Yu-Gi-Oh!, will debut on Cartoon Network this October. Some people hated this series and others loved it. I am a big fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! and I am hoping that I will enjoy this new series. Years in the future, in a land inaccessible to the rest of the world, is the premiere dueling high school Duel Academy! This special boarding school educates promising young duelists to achieve their full potential. However, little do people realize that one of the greatest duelists of all time is about to arrive in the incoming class. The students, based on a combination of duelist rankings and exams, are separated into three dorms. The most advanced students reside in Obelisk Blue. The second tier lives in Ra Yellow. The duelists with the lowest grades are in Slifer Red. Class conflicts have stood for many years with the higher-ranked dorms teasing the lower dorms, but the status quo is about to turn on its head with the newest arrival!

WWE SmackDown! Spoliers - Thursday, August 11, 2005 from Columbus, Ohio!

For now on I am going to post weekly WWE SmackDown! spoilers. It's nice to post them every week because some fans do not know where to find the spoilers. Here are this week's spoilers: Booker T defeated Joey Mercury. Early on Johnny Nitro and Jillian were ejected from the match. Melina tried to get involved but Sharmell stopped her. Booker won with an axe kick to the spine. Christian's Peep Show was next, his special guest was Batista. Christian (talking about himself) asked Batista why the top draft pick doesn't have a match for SummerSlam. Christian then challenged Batista to a match to prove he deserved to be at the Pay Per View. Batista just told Christian he would kick his a**. Animal and Heidenreich beat a few jobbers in the quick squash with the Doomsday Device. Randy Orton asked Teddy Long who his opponent would be for his big return to the ring. Teddy said since he likes to sneak up behind people his opponent will be a surpise. But it will be a legend who has also fought the Undertaker. Orton defeated Kamala and Kim Chee. People didn't seem to remember Kamala at first but some people were marking out. Orton gave Kim Chee the RKO when he tried to run in. Orton then hit the RKO on Kamala but before he could pin him the Undertaker RKO/RIP video played. Orton got a little scared when the video played but walked out looking over his shoulder. When the cameras cut off Kamala got a pretty good ovation. Eddie Guerrero was in the back talking with a children service women. He told her his son was living a lie and he wants him back. He then tells her to come to the ring and observe what happens. In the ring Eddie calls out Rey and his son. Rey, his wife and son came out. Eddie and Rey exchanged words. Rey then said if Eddie takes Dominic he will never fight him again and Eddie will have never beaten Rey. Rey called Eddie a, "chicken sh**" and said no matter who Dominic lives with he will always know that Rey is twice the man Eddie is. Rey then challenged Eddie to one final match at SummerSlam and the winner gets custody of Dominic. The children service women told Rey and Eddie the problem wasn't with Dominic it was between them and after they put their personal problems aside Dominic will be put in a foster home. Super Crazy and Psicosis defeated Scotty 2 Hotty and William Regal. Scotty took a beating through most of the match and before he could tag Regal, Regal left laughing at Scotty. Psicosis then hit Scotty with a top rope leg drop for the win. Tazz and Michael Cole played John Cena's new "Right Now" music video. It hit the fans well. The music video was greatly appreciated. Benoit defeated Simon Dean quickly with a crossface. Batista and Christian ended in a no contest. Before Batista hit the powerbomb JBL ran in and attacked Batista and hit him with a chair several times. JBL cut a promo on Batista as SmackDown! ended. TV.com's Wrestling God, Knight42092

One More Episode of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!

The other day, I was checking on the Kirby: Right Back at Ya! forum on TV.com. A user told me that Kirby: Right Back at Ya! only had one more episode left. I knew the end was near, but not so near. This show was great, I won't forget Kirby. He's been featured in many classic video games that I have owned in the past. Kirby, a Warpstar Knight-in-training, crash lands on the Planet Popstar and accidentally ends up as the pink protector of the villagers. Kirby quickly meets two friendly Cappys, Tiff and Tuff. The Cappys ask Kirby if he wants to live with them in their castle. When King Dedede conjures up all his maniacal monsters, Kirby takes in their powers and gives them a taste of their own medicine! Don't mess with Kirby. He'll send it "Right Back at Ya!"

Five More Episodes Left of Shaman King

Shaman King's finale is quite near. It seems that my favorite show of all-time will be hitting the drains shortly. I will be taping the remaining five episodes of Shaman King. It will be sad to see Shaman King go. It was a great pleasure to watch the show every Saturday morning. Once, every 500 years, a competition occurs to determine who will become Shaman King ... who alone will possess the ultimate power to unite the human and spirit worlds and save the planet from destruction. This adventurous series takes place in a world where anything is possible ... where spirits and ghosts interact with humans. The main character is Yoh Asakura, a 13-year-old boy who is a modern-day Shaman, one of the gifted few who can see the spirit world. His power comes from teaming up with Amidamaru, a samurai warrior spirit. Together they travel the globe, pursuing their quest to win the "Grand Tournament." Each battle makes them more powerful and brings them closer to the ultimate prize, being crowned Shaman King.
