Besides that my comment here was def not an excuse. Its a fact that a #1 seed should be able to beat a #8 seed in the playoffs when they are away.

Just_Osmo

The difference in the #1 seed and the #8 seed in the west was only 7 games, and even though a team like the Nuggets got swept, thats a pretty slim difference, meaning that it could've gone either way if they cared about winning. however, what you do in the regular season means s*** if you can't win in the playoffs. It's a complete waste of work and effort if your team gets eliminated from the playoffs because the ultimate goal is to win a championship, just ask the Mavs last year and in the 2006 Finals. Also Bibby wasn't in every game this season, so you don't know if they still would've finished 37-45 if he was there from the start, most likely they would've finished .500 or better.

Even though i like Avery, he really needed to go. Josh Howard, Stackhouse and Dampier must go as well. Idk who they're planning to replace Avery with I heard they were thinking about Jeff Van Gundy. I think it's too early to tell if JKidd screwed up that team, give it one more year. We need a real center and Dampier is the softest starting center in the league, softer than baby s***, which is why I didn't want Diop to leave, he can't score either but he will hustle and play D. Josh Howard has sucked since JKidd got to Dallas, and you can tell that he doesn't like playing with the Mavs anymore, which is why he can't shoot if his life (or weed) depended on it. This is still a playoff team, but unless Cuban makes some drastic moves, Dirk's talent will continue to be wasted and the Mavs wont reach the Finals again.

[QUOTE="murlow12"][QUOTE="KoFoNiO"]technically everyone has. if you're a fan of your home team, then you're a bandwagoner because they're your home team, and the same thing with out of state fans. you became a fan of them for some reason whether they win or if you like their city or uniform or whatever.Espurs117

Uhhhh...no. I rooted for my home teams as long as I can remember for the simple fact that they represent my city/state. I didn't wait until each of them were good to start pulling for them. I'm sure most true fans are like me.

what if you hate the city/state you live in? for example you're a kid who follows certain teams religiously but you don't like you're living situation and you're parents aren't going to move. but you're a fan of sports and very knowledgeable about certain teams not in your state, and you're still a fan of that team if you follow them through the bad and good times. that's what a true fan is, you don't know anything about a true fan, last time i checked this wasn't a geography class.

If you hate your home teams then you weren't raised right.

lol, that is the most ignorant thing i've heard today. and you didn't even read my post, i said i hate where I live, not the home teams. murlow who isn't keen to what a true fan is says that you must be a fan of your home team, but obviously he enjoys living in california and you enjoy living in texas, but i dont enjoy living in new york and never have. but if you're going to say that then you're saying that all people who don't even like sports weren't raised right also?

wow atlanta is really impressing me, joe johnson is unstoppable out there. unless ATL can win a road game i still think boston will win this. but dont be surprised if this ends up like last years Mavs/Warriors series if the hawks can keep this up.

[QUOTE="AvIdGaMeR444"]Jason Kidd just got ejected a few minutes ago. Now the Mavs are getting some boos from the home crowd and they are down 19. Pathetic. Just_Osmo

What did he do?

on a fast break he hit pargo in the head and pargo did a somersault in the air and landed hard, refs called a flagrant 2

I haven't liked Melo ever since he took that cheap shot on Channing Frye then ran away like a pansy so I'm happy he's losing.PsychoT4Prez

^ same here, it was on mardy collins though.

on paper, the nuggets have the best starting lineup but they just dont know how to play any sort of defense, and they have a lot of egos on that team.

I don't have any problems with cannabis use, but it was a dumb move on Howard's part by making this public, especially on the day of a playoff game. To be honest idk if he wants to stay with the Mavs anymore, but the least he could do is play better during this series against the Hornets.
