@AnointedSword @power-fantastic I dont think so, they will look as good as PC for a card generation or 2...but already there are cards that are released that are far more powerful than even the next gen games. Your average gaming PC already has 6+GB of RAM, many use as much as 16GB. Next gen console is on par with a mid-range PC at best. And hearing that the consoles are using an AMD radeon HD 7790 equivalent is kinda disheartening.
@spindie While I do hope for more open worlds, I also hope to see more dynamic gameplay and better AI as well. AI is one area that has very much been lacking the past few years. Another area, destruction or cause and effect type of stuff is another.
@spindie There are still some game developers out there that still make games for consoles...but look at how long it takes them to make said games. (Not exactly a bad thing). And its more like these sort of games could of been out 3 or 4 years ago if they developed strictly for the PC.
@spindie Say what you like but Myself and many others will never touch Warz. They blatently ripped off another popular game mod....its full of pay to win features, and many aspects of the game are just terrible (small map, terrible animations, ect).
Like how they fail to mention that the Xbox One's system is going to be underclocked, therefore PS4 is not only cheaper but faster not only from a Memory standpoint but from a Processing standpoint as well.
@franizarduy Given how old PS3 is, yeah it does look amazing. The cut scenes are totally amazing, its like watching a movie. I have a feeling, or atleast hope, we will see games next gen that look like this but that are more open world and sandbox. The last of Us is often linear or straightforward in many areas, but its understandable given how gorgeous it looks.
There is still the issues of the kinect, the fact that it is 100 dollars more expensive than the PS4 and technically less powerful...and lack of support of indie developers.
Bioshock Infinite had a great story (Confusing but good). But overall the game was incredibly dumbed down and just way too easy. Bioshock was a step down from System Shock, but it still was a great game overall...But Infinite in my opinion was a pretty big let down.
Its sad that they are dumbing games down soo much to appeal to the casual ADD gamer that just wants that instant gratification...Glad to see even developers are acknowledging that and will actually turn it around. All this dumbing down has been seeping its way even into the games that were originally suppose to be challening and complex (MMO's, RTS's Ect).
