@moonco: not just play games, but deal with driver drama and specs of your pc and modders. No point in playing on PC when you can just stream all those PC games onto xbox and ones that are on xbox enjoy hussle free.
@caseyrybek: you are wrong, rise of the tomb raider they showed clear visual advantage unlike with ps4 and x1 before. PS5 won't happen untill at least there's 16TF GPU x4 more powerfull every gen. So when PS5 hits so will xbox 5 that will be more powerfull so what's your point? You hurt that x1X is better than Pro so you can't wait for next gen to start? LOL!
Just because Sony failed so miserably with newer consoles doesn't mean they are not competition PS4 vs x1, PS4 Slim vs X1 S, PS4 Pro vs X1X it's as simple as that no matter how much you don't like it that MS introduced much more powerfull hardware than Sony.
Strict rule not to create exclusives? What are you blabbering about? You mean extending userbase and not alienating people?
You do know that MS is already working on xbox 5 just as sony is on ps5, so what makes you think that somehow Sony will have next console and MS wont?
What would happen if Sony didn't have Pro, how would they compete with X1X? We heard that Scorpio is in the works before we heard anything about Neo.
Your dreams of PS5 coming out without competition is funny, ohh and again every console gen has been at least 4x more powerfull than previous so 4.2TF x4 is 16.8TF MINIMUM and 5nm architecture so keep waiting!
@yukushi: this is completely false, if you actually looked at Rise of Tomb raider there's substantial differences they said and miles more noticable without zooming in 25x like you had to with ps4 and x1 before
@ishsgames: actually xbox one x is like 1070 so you would need to save for 1080 or Vega 64. Then it comes to having to buy rest of stuff too. 90% of gaming PCs are less than 3TF right now and old so need major upgrade. X is still compelling for the price point as nothing beats that $/performance right now. Then there's people who don't want PC.
@Jdzspace: and how do you determine the losing party? They don't make money off of consoles sold, but off of dlc and software in which MS is selling on xbox and pc
@VivaLaColten: strange assessment considering that when consoles were releasing Sony were rude while MS congratulated them! I didn't know that it was about how many consoles they sold, but how much money they made off of the users. MS is making money off of xbox and PC so I think that you are wrong.
CPU chosen is very vrong! First onxbox all CPU cores are utilised at all times while on PC only 4 are, second Scorpio CPU offloads most demanding task to dedicated processor further increasing its efficiency elsewhere!
Second you are comparing 8GB of GDDR5 at 256bit bus and 256GB/s where Scorpio uses 8GB of GDDR5 at 384 bit bus and 326GB/s that's a big difference!
Third you are using badly optimised drivers to best optimisation possible on consoles which alone will account for about 30% performance difference.
@heydink: Xbox one S upscales to 4K aswell, you saying that its games will look near identical to PS4 Pro? And lets not forget that it's not about if it looks almost near identical it just takes some website saying how a game runs at few pixels more onsome console and it's labeled "superrior" and people buy that version
