@LeoKRock: why can't it higher end graphics at 4k? Let me just say that in my opinion 4k is wasted resources and 1440p should be target for any machine at insane settings. You keep thinking of teraflops in PC terms, but it's not that simple and expect 30% more out of equivalent hardvare in console vs pc due to static hardware for optimisation.
Performance wise it'll be between GTX 1070 and 1080 with higher bandwidth. i say that's good enough for what they promise. If they do 60fps at High setting and dynamic 4k resolution that's great
@idkhow2play: what he's saying is that you paying $600 for the GPU, they'll end up paying half that because they buy in bulk. Then you look at year on price for instance that $600 gpu will probably be $400 and for them it'll be like $150 for entire SOC including CPU.
Then you need to look at the fact that console is static hardware so developers optimise just for thatCPU/GPU/Memory combination vs on PC thousands of combinations and reason console can get like 30% more out of same hardware as PC so that 6TF GPU in console will perform like 8TF gpu in PC
