Now that MS is charging for Gears maps, everyone loses.  This totally stinks.  Even if you wanted these new maps and didn't mind paying, you're getting hosed.  The reason: they are severely segmenting their user base.

More people will not buy this, than will.  It's going to be that much harder to get a good match started, since the pool of available players will shrink.

 

I am torn about this download, but I'm leaning towards not getting it.  I already bought Gears.  I don't feel like paying 1/6th of its price for 4 additional maps, when we know that the developers wanted to get it to us for free, no less.  I already pay for XBOX Live.

I have ten bucks to blow, but on principle, I'm going to try to avoid these, despite playing Gears online a few nights each week.

Why complain since its no real surprise that Microsoft, of all Corporations, is (arguably) nickel-and-diming 'every little thing'.  Would I like free content? Yes, but its not like MS is threatening to terminate your account or nothing
